No. In 1984, you would be shot for even a criticism this light. Read the book and learn. Absolutely no criticism was tolerated. You had to comply 100% or they beat you into submission. If they ruled you wouldn't comply, they would shoot you. People seem to use the 1984 reference lightly but don't realize what true totalitarianism is.

Actually Orwell plagiarized 1984 from Yevgeny Zamyatin's "We", a Russian novel originally published in English in 1924.
