It's not like the taxpayers are paying for it!
Thought he was done with his debt program, didn't ya?
That's trumps cost of his winter white house trips for 6 months.
yep...he has to get his ass in gear and raise the money. there are tons potential problems with this fundraising as some of it happens while in office.
there has been issues with the up keep and running of the libraries as most endowments are extremely short...seems like by 10fold for most of them. taxpayers pay shortfall yearly
it should be great...the democrat machine is huge right now with tons of money being thrown all over the place. hopefully they leave a 250million endowment to pay for yearly shortfall and upkeep.

Funny, i believe the Nixon library was mostly funded privately.
Obama running up more debt
nixon library was privately funded as are most pres libraries
when they announced the start of building it, I moved to the other side of the city
not a good idea to live across the street from a pres library
way too much traffic
It's cool, but I don't think any presidential library is worth that much.
However, most if not all, are privately funded.
yep frog i agree...that should be its own thread. i did have an issue with obama travel before with michelle taking separate plane and all...they need to try and look like they care about the money.
the travel to florida is going to get out of hand...what happened to camp david?? that was a quick helicopter ride.
protecting wife and offspring in nyc is costing upwards of a million per day? its stupid...no one in america should give a shit if he needs to move mid school term....let alone pay for it.
the perception of this is the worst....i can't wait to hear some rational from him at some point about how much he saved on a potential contract so he basically pays for himself? its coming.

Yea how about paying for the adult sons to go to Dubai to open their new hotel? I would think they would pay for it. Naaaaa lol
i didn't catch that...who paid for his two sons to go?
The American taxpayer lol

^^^^ and you bend over with sheer excitement and pleasure.

yep...now that his is going to be bigger and better it will cost more per year to keep up.
the ongoing costs are what we pay minus the small endowments that have been established...typically bringing in a few hundred thousand yearly to offset 4 to 5million each
there are 13 now that cost about 75million per year
also the fund raising you can imagine comes with strings...most of which is while in office...so not a great situation.
the job's created are good of course
so yes we can read the government page....but will it tell us all the other shit?

Don't worry. The library is funded with BOND measures. Not like WE are going to have to pay for it. Our offspring [TOS acceptable term] are fucked, though.
I still cannot believe how all you Californians vote to approve EVERY bond measure. Just mention 'it's for education'...

..... paid for by 7 "extreme vetted" countries

We still talking Barry's library?
ya that's funny typically i attach links...let me go hunt a little
so did you think i was just spewing shit??
this if for the first post of the library
i have seen more than one article on ongoing costs and each article has same type figures
here are copies of links:

unfortunately the endowments need to be in the 120-250million range to kick out enough income on yearly basis. I think the biggest one i saw was less than 10million.
so the fund raising for all this is tough. 10million is easy for the ongoing costs.
start getting into 100million and a greater good comes into play...let alone the 500million or 1.5billion for personal museum. elvis does not have a one that cost that much.
maybe jesus has one that is more costly...can't think of anyone else
i don't care what side this is on...a personal museum/pres library that cost more then cowboy stadium is out of line. 500m for bush was way too much also.

Alex Jones mmmmmm

All he needs is an upstairs floor to conduct 'Foundation' business.
Proven and successful model.
I don't understand the concern. Are you of the opinion that due to his race or political party you have a problem with the cost?
Would you have commented on the cost of our local Reagan library was being planned?
Since there is no public money spent for the library what is your point?
I'm not paying. Obama was not my president!
Who gives a shit.
