The price disparity for med is old news. The question is what is happening or going to happen to diminish the price disparity? I'll short the phamarcutical industry then.

i am sure that was one of many many examples
about 25 years ago remember having a surgery and they had to shave the pub area...i saw the bill a month or so later paid by insurance...it was basically an angiogram test for my finger circulation...total bill 27k. i was out of there in 3-4 hrs time.
itemized bill 55 bucks for disposable shaver....probably cost them a buck.
i also understand that some people don't pay and have to bill the shit out of people that can pay, but there is some fat to trim around easily. medicaid could help on the ones that can't pay.
medicare seems to have decent controlled cost structure for service...they pay hospital and doctors for prescribed price for various services....they can expand this for the people over 55 younger than 65...just make them pay the going rate.
i am ok with other repubs holding their feet to the fire...they have one chance to get this mostly right....nothing is perfect so that won't happen.

If the media spent only 25% of the time they currently spend running around bashing Trump and looked at drug cost abuse, medical over treatment, excessive billings, medicare fraud, etc. we would probably solve all our health care issues in this country.
But the media is lazy and biased and just can't comprehend that Trump got elected.
Message to media....get off your asses and help solve some of our health care problems with investigative reporting....

Pulease

DR....investigative journalism is dead in this country. They used to dig into issues, identify problems, and bring to light the concern. They do nothing now....no research, no exploration of the REAL issues facing our country.
It is a well known that there is abuse in the health care delivery system.....but no one wants to address it. Trump at least has said we need to get to the bottom of the drug company charges.

DR....list some meaningful journalism that has brought national attention to any health care issue OTHER than pissing and moaning about Trump.
Also, DR....how much did YOU pay in taxes last year.....????????????????????
trump is an asshole...but if anyone can help get this fixed..its him. obama had a chance and it was bad.
the thing i heard was this three stage process will never pass at the third stage where they need 60 votes....that is where the best stuff of the whole plan is to get costs down.

Thanks kellyann^
its Cunt to you faggot
You're welcome
When did I say the aca was great?
Of course, like all good liberals...you didn't answer my question...I didn't ask about the ACA penalty....I asked about taxes.....and I highly doubt you actually paid taxes on this 'cash business'
And what annoys me is the fools budget cuts, so he can increase his defense spending. Which I agree we need however not at the expense of meals on wheels, arts programs, pbs,. That shit bugs me
Oh it's unheard of to work here and elsewhere?
i understand that fub...i was a college student looking at an itemized bill my insurance paid....27k test for 3 or 4 hrs. it was excessive...but i did say i also understand that they do work and don't get paid.
being in service business for a bit...i get it.
the penalty a 1000 percent or a 1000bucks?
And I bet you have read the entire budget....just single out meals on wheels....that should be a local or state cost NOT a federal one. The Federal government has gotten into far too many social programs that are a local concern.
Why is the government funding PBS? They can either survive on contributions or secure some corporate sponsor ships.
We have nearly a $20 trillion debt (about $10 trillion of it built up in Obama's 8 years). We have to roll back the budget on most everything to bring about something closer to a balance.
There have been so many cuts in the military that we do not have the resources to deal with all of the crazies in this world. But hey, when the whack job in North Korea launches his missile hope you are not in the blast zone...LOL.
1000 bucks...sorry i see it.
Justify cutting programs such as meals on wheels? I'm waiting make it sound realistic at least
I too lost my medical plan (it was a major medical that I bought for more catastrophic medical needs, knowing I could afford the daily out of pocket). Being self employed, I went to the exchange and bought a plan that like Fubar, cost me almost double what I was paying. Of course, this last year, my premium is well over double my old premium and my co pays went up to $40 for general service and $70 for a specialist....and I have a $5000 deductible....
Now that is a real health plan....
And thanks DR, for not actually paying the premium for the plan...so that caused MY premium to go up even more....
gov't is not easy...we have a 20 trillion dollar debt that pays 450billion in interest...maybe 50billion more after the interest increase.
tax cuts and repatriation will help make the cuts easier to handle over next few years. I saw some of the cuts were only 50percent of what obama increased them.
I'm still waiting?
DR....read my lips....
Federal government has NO business funding Meals on Wheels....that is a local issue of how many people need such services. The government has butted its nose into so many programs that were NEVER expected to be part of our Federal tax dollars.
Yes, starfish....part of the problem was Obama increased shit so much, we need to roll back the costs.
