So now we are stuck with Obamacare....
23 million Americans either paying the penalty OR asking for the dispensations and exceptions.
Huge number of counties in the country with only 1 or 2 choices of medical coverage.
Huge deficits will continue as this program is totally unsustainable and the subsidies continue to produce red ink.....
Many of the people that are 'counted' in the statistics are covered under Medicaid and NOT Obamacare....
Premium increases all in the double digits and some states as high as 50% or more.

The art of the deal president Donald Trump was vociferously shouting and promising the followings:
1) We will rip apart the Iran Deal on day 1
2) We will repeal and replace Obamacarare
3) We will build a medieval wall and have Mexico pay for it
Iran deal is still in place, Obamacare is still in place, no wall is being built and Mexico not paying for squat, muslim travel ban was blocked twice.

for more than 7 years , I heard Republicans saying we will "REPEAL AND REPLACE OBAMACARE!"
Ok, ok ok.... you had 7 years to come up with a plan and now you have a Republican Senate majority, a Republican House of representative Majority, a Republican Cabinet, a Republican President....
.... No repeal ... no replace.... failure... all talk no PLAN!

The above stats will continue to haunt Obamacare....
The only fortunate thing about Obamacare is that the majority of Americans get their insurance from their employer.....but in 2020, the Cadillac tax finally kicks in after being delayed by Obama....so if you have REALLY good insurance through your employer and it exceeds government limits, your employer will have to pay a 40% EXCISE TAX for being so generous.....oh I wonder what employers will do....maybe REDUCE those great benefits to YOU....so they don't have to get hit with the tax.....

Also, keep in mind that ObamaCare was mostly ideas from the Republicans on health care, they just couldn't get their act together to pass anything. Needed a real leader.
Obama pulled it together, played politics, spun the deal, made it happen. Leader, dealmaker, master politician... Republicans felt all butthurt and never stopped whining.
Big Contrast... One Pres gets a deal done, even though not his perfect plan or even his ideas,
Next Pres, has the majority of Repubs in both houses, been whining for years about they
can't change healthcare cause the Democrats are mean and hurt their feelings and won't play nice.
So the Dems step back and say, ok, your turn... let's see what ya got.

btw, the idea that Obama care is imploding is a completely false idea that keeps being repeated as if that will make it true. Obamacare has been successful. Needs some tweaks.
Mostly, put real teeth in the individual mandate -- need young, healthy people to sign up or pay a fine larger than what the insurance would cost

What kind of teeth are you going to put into the individual mandates...raise the penalties to tens of thousands of dollars....put them in jail....cut off their hands...
Can't you understand, the people do not believe that what they are getting is worth what they are paying for it......
So unless the penalties become really harsh, you won't see any changes...and now that premiums are going up an average of about 20% for all plans, that will definitely keep the healthy ones away.....
And the Dems probably don't want to lose the under 25 vote by pissing them off
