I'm going to use my freedom of speech to call you a bloody fucking idiot.
If the situation were reversed and republican "celebrity" like the great Scott Baio called Obama a crook our whatever during an awards ceremony, your hypocritical ass would be cheering him on.
Oh, and comparing the Golden Globes, which is known more for the drunken partying than the sanctity and solemnity of giving out awards, to church is absolutely laughable and only further exposes your cluelessness.

U know what isn't cool. Making fun of people with disabilities. Fuck that shady trump

He's a bully! I guess that doesn't apply if you're Prez elect...

Meryl Streep is, in own her words, "sorry Roman Polanski got arrested." She can go eat a bowl of hot dicks.

Jazz51,
You are not making a fair comparison in your last statement. Both DEMS & REPS would
agree on your first 8 points, but not the last one.
MS was right - 100% in saying what she said about Trumpet. Like it or not, she was
right in doing so. Free speech - think about it.
Fuck Trumpet for demeaning a person with a disability. Fuck him for all the stupid shit he
is about to dwell in. Good luck to that MOFO

"Go eat a bowl of hot dicks"
Fucking LOVE that.

Trump will need to keep silencing the press as his approval ratings continue to plummet.
Currently, just 37% of Americans approve of the way he's handling himself. He only comes close to having majority approval from the white male demographic, with 49% approval. Only 34% of whites with college degrees approve of him, 31% of people under 35 years old, and just 22% of nonwhites. Practically nobody likes him and that will drive him even crazier. His rants keep getting increasingly bizarre.

Jesus H Christ, some of y'all sound like whiney bitches. For once in your fuckin life be a man and deal with some shit.

I disagree with Jazz51, but I stand up for his right to blog about it, say it on a soap box or in an acceptance speech.
In his farewell speech, Obama urged every citizen to have empathy for each other. The ability to see the world from another person's shoes (and world view) brings this country together while so many other forces seek to divide us.
"Understand, democracy does not require uniformity. Our founders quarreled and compromised, and expected us to do the same. But they knew that democracy does require a basic sense of solidarity – the idea that for all our outward differences, we are all in this together; that we rise or fall as one.
For blacks and other minorities, it means tying our own struggles for justice to the challenges that a lot of people in this country face – the refugee, the immigrant, the rural poor, the transgender American, and also the middle-aged white man who from the outside may seem like he’s got all the advantages, but who’s seen his world upended by economic, cultural, and technological change.
For white Americans, it means acknowledging that the effects of slavery and Jim Crow didn’t suddenly vanish in the ‘60s; that when minority groups voice discontent, they’re not just engaging in reverse racism or practicing political correctness; that when they wage peaceful protest, they’re not demanding special treatment, but the equal treatment our Founders promised."
It would be great if we could walk through our neighborhoods, workplaces and shopping malls and see each other as fellow Americans who we will stand up for knowing that they'd do the same for us. It all starts with the person staring back at us in the mirror.
Jazz51, I will fight for you if anyone attempted to take away your right to express yourself, politically or otherwise, on any platform. Will you do the same for me?

1st Amendment is for everyone, even if you don't agree with them. They have that right.
People DO NOT have the right to yell "FIRE" in a crowded theater to cause a panic.
People DO NOT have the right to give speeches inciting violence against others.
People have a right to speak about what they believe is true even though they might have the facts wrong.
Comparing speaking when accepting an award and speaking out in church are 2 very different things, unless that person in church is the Pastor giving a sermon at the pulpit. But some churchgoer shouting out whatever he thinks during the service is wrong but he still has the right to speak and church members has the right to boo or cheer him on. If you don't like what a Pastor in a church speaks about, you have a choice not to attend that church again.
Meryl Streep had a chance to speak and she took that opportunity to speak her mind. If she did it in the back when it was not her turn, then she is wrong but she still has a right to do so. She just might not get invited back.
Travis Tritt complaining about Meryl Streep's speech and that all entertainers should just just shut-up about politics and just do their jobs, needs to stop being a hypocrite because he does the same thing. Does he have a right to speak his mind, yes, but he shouldn't try to censor others just because he does not agree with them, or think they are doing it the wrong way, because he also speaks about politics a lot on his Twitter. He just doesn't have as many chances as Streep does at award shows. I don't want him to stop but but he should allow others the same opportunity to speak as he gives himself. I "think" he is upset because she gets a bigger captured audience that he might get a chance to???
FREE SPEECH is giving everyone the opportunity to speak, period.
Do I agree with Jazzy, NO, but her has the right to speak his mind just I do now.
Have a good day EVERYONE!

And to comment on the example of David Duke grabbing the mic at a Laker's game is totally a WRONG thing to do, but he "might" have the right to speak, but he was NOT INVITED to speak. Is it a protest to speak his mind, he has a right to speak his mind, but he could be trespassing trying to do so.
Just like protesters speaking their minds, they have a right to do so, but they could be trespassing unless it is a Public Property and not a Private Property.
That is the big factor when making comparisons, Meryl Streep WAS INVITED to the stage to give a speech, while David Duke grabbing a mic WAS NOT INVITED.
Peace to EVERYONE!

The OP is completely clueless in so many ways, as illustrated in this here blog.
Then again, he's an old man who has delusions that attractive women 45 years his junior, actually want to spend time with him and receive his super creepy masturbatory messages.
Next year, I have hopes that Meryl Streep reads this post during her next acceptance speech so that the OP shits his Depends in furious anger. And to the 24 year old nurse who has to clean him up while he breathes heavily and licks his lips, my sincerest condolences.

Yes, ninja. OP is creepy but also delusional and doesn't seem to understand the very thing he's ranting about.

This isn't about Democrat or Republican....whether I politically agree with Streep or not.
It is about using some decency and common sense where and when to speak out.
Yes, she was given a microphone....but NOT with the intent she stands there and chastises our President Elect. I disagree with those same Hollywood types who go off on other rants about Syria or any other personal political cause.
I have disagreed with constantly bringing politics into these awards shows for decades, not just Streep's comments.
There is a time and place for politics and a time and place for the 'entertainment'....
But I guess you all are ready for people to just start speaking out in the various places I mentioned......there is no difference between church and a movie theater. The people went to the place for a particular reason and do not deserve to have that reason circumvented by someone who feels their politics overrules everyone else.

Actually 7, Jazz makes perfect sense.
You are the one that looks like a complete Liberal fool.

Frog. Once again you wander off point. And do not actually read what people say. I believe in free speech. But there are times and places where people should exercise it, and times and places where class and civility should prevail. I don't think I want to have you ask my friends and family to confirm that I always complained about awards acceptance speeches, when I used to watch such shows. So I guess I can't actually prove such. I did post a number of complaints on Facebook and another website I post, but I would never give someone like you such links.
I just don't think you get it. We must not fall into anarchy where anyone with any cause can disrupt our lives. Do you want the scripture reader to pause during a reading and start talking about the merits of the KKK? He or she had the microphone so they used it for their personal politics.
Next time when you go to a mi is theater do you want the people behind you to talk about what a great American David Duke is?
I bet there were at least a couple of people in the Golden Glove audience who were there for the awards and NOT the politics. As viewership drops I doubt any producer or director or awards show owner would dare stand up and say no more politics because "Hollywood" is already stifling free speech for conservatives in the business. Ironic....
