Everyone seems to claim that travel bans will fuel more hate.
Not sure the hate gets any worse than cutting heads off journalists, stabbing innocent women in a Market, running over innocent bystanders on a bridge and blowing up a bomb in a concert attended by countless children, teens and their parents....so if you really believe that bullshit about fueling more hate...good luck!!!

the travel ban violates rights. plain and simple. to deem everyone from one group of people evil, because the this countries foreign policies, is bigotry.
yes those acts were committed, but the US is doing worse on the flip side. do you think that the US is innocent in all of this?? we are in a war, but it seems everyone only gets their panties in a bunch we they attack.
the extremists are doing global guerrilla warfare, that's it. they are a tribal people, when one of them is killed.....by lets say a US bomb that can wipe out a whole city; everyone in that surviving family will turn. how many reports have been made where some of the fighters were pro-US, till one of the drones killed their whole family??

Madboobs...the travel ban included the nations that the Obama administration deemed as unsafe due to their lack of internal security, large number of terrorists inside their borders, and which do not have good citizen documentation and data bases. It was Obama's list, but Obama didn't have the balls to do anything about these countries and the flow of people coming from them.
The ban was to be temporary until we can determine better methods to vet these people. Not a permanent ban of entry.
It is a privilege to come to the USA, not a RIGHT. Everyone keeps talking about rights.....countries throughout the world have specifications on who can and who cannot come into their country. This handful of countries seem to be a higher risk than others.....so it is the right of the USA to do what it feels necessary to secure the safety and well-being of its citizens.
We interned large numbers of German, Japanese and Italian immigrants during the early stages of WWII.....to help protect the rest of the citizens......
Hope the next knife or vehicle wielding Syrian is in your neighborhood...bet you will have a different view.

READ carefully the decisions regarding illegal aliens and the 14th amendment.
It applies to people who are LIVING here in the U.S.....has NOTHING to do with rights for a person who is not even in this country.
A travel ban is NOT against the 14th amendment. so before you declare burnsie stupid....check the facts more carefully yourself......maybe the Supreme Court will eventually address the rights of persons who have yet to come to the U.S. but that has NOT been tried and agreed upon.
So someone living in Syria or Iran has NO rights in this country unless they are residing here.

People latch onto talking points that are spewed by journalists who probably have never read the decisions themselves either.
If we are talking about illegal immigrants living here in California, they most certainly have 14th amendment rights......
But people then believe they can stretch shit to cover everything.....but you have to look at the facts of the case and actual decisions.....but it is just easier to spread the same bullshit around....

It might be a 1st amendment issue IF it was a religious ban....but it is NOT as currently worded. The stupid Hawaiian judge ruled using Trumps campaign words NOT what the damn ban actually says so he was way off base in his decision.
You really believe the 5th amendment applies to this travel ban....
"protects a person against being compelled to be a witness against himself or herself in a criminal case"
So I guess the argument would be a person does not have to be a witness against himself by telling that he just came from Iran.....but if he just flew in from Iran, he would not need to rat on himself, it would be self evident...
