Note to the 'gun control' crowd - in the decade 1993 - 2013, gun ownership went up 56% while gun homicides went down 49% despite a growth in US population.
If more guns really meant more deaths, these numbers would not exist. More guns in the hands of responsible people PREVENT many bad situations just by displaying the gun. But you don't hear about all the bad stuff that DIDN'T happen, thanks to proper use of a gun. You only hear when some nut kills people in a gun-free zone (sad irony) or some careless idiot causes a tragedy by mishandling a gun.
The media only get 'excited' when death comes from a gun or an airplane crash.
Meanwhile, nobody gives a shit when thousands of people are killed accidentally or carelessly by their own doctors every year, or when 3,500 people a year die from drowning. Nobody is talking about more "doctor control''or "swimming pool control".

And about 37,000 Americans die by auto every year, how about banning autos, except for motorcycles as they are only likely to kill the rider and not 4 or 5 other people.
