I had this discussion with a Trumpista acquaintance last night. He told me that MAGA was not about having the country be respected abroad. In his view it is about having the country be feared. MAGA is about taking care of the America of his expectations (i.e. a white America) and fuck everybody else.

I am sure you southerners are for the most part loving this. The brilliant mind of your president overwhelms any dissonance from the rest of the world. His ability to communicate with the vocabulary of a fifth grader is truly "GREAT" !

totally agree...most of those fucking countries have hated us for a long long time...as long as we are on the net giving side of the relationship they politely tolerate us.
Trump is shaking trees and seeing where people and countries really stand. He did this with comey...you saw comey's true colors of how he really felt about trump of which he was certainly justified getting that cancer out of that job. The timing and optics were bad, but that's what motivated comey to leak and divulge lots of shit like lynch? Without that ugly firing we still have comey and his distrust and no info on lynch. I would say trump is good with that even though mueller is up is ass at this point.
