You probably didn't read the other blog....but I commented...
So now we are stuck with Obamacare....
23 million Americans either paying the penalty OR asking for the dispensations and exceptions.
Huge number of counties in the country with only 1 or 2 choices of medical coverage.
Huge deficits will continue as this program is totally unsustainable and the subsidies continue to produce red ink.....
Many of the people that are 'counted' in the statistics are covered under Medicaid and NOT Obamacare....
Premium increases all in the double digits and some states as high as 50% or more.
And in 2020, the people who get their coverage with their employer might see some changes as the Cadillac tax kicks in...a 40% excise tax for an employer who provides benefits that exceed certain Federal levels....bet they decrease coverage rather than pay the excise tax.....
Great system....let's leave it in place!!!!!!!

ObamaCare is fine. Needs a little adjust maybe. It limited insurance company profits, which is a huge step to reducing cost. Also got millions more insured, so treatment can be early or disease prevented... saves billions but takes some time to work.
Next, enforce the mandate, so everyone signs up. Problem is people are stealing--they refuse to pay in to the system when young and healthy, then sign up when they need care. It doesn't work that way.
So charge people as much to opt out of insurance as to opt in, simple. And that money goes in to the pool either way, So everyone pays, your choice is-- pay a penalty or pay your insurance premium-- but you pay the same price either way.

Sounds a lot like extortion to me. The fact is that the individual mandate is actually the ONLY thing about Obamacare that is even close to unconstitutional. And in my opinion, it is, but the Supremes had a different take.

All I know is when I decided to keep my cobra when I left my job that fucking monthly payment was close to 700 and I paid it, cuz I loved my doctor and coverage.
That shit was out of hand from paying 45.00 no weekly when I worked there.

And for all you idiots who complain about the healthy having to pay for the old & sick: Assholes, that's how insurance works! it has to be spread around everyone because otherwise the costs per those infected with disease would be astronomical! It's the very essence of insurance whether health care or car insurance! SMH.
In any case, for all the complaints about Obamacare costs rising, that was because many Republican governors tried their best to not support it. The Repug plan would cost even worst with less coverage and 24 million losing their coverage anyway! So end of discussion.
