The State of San Francisco would be a good start.

West virginia split off from virginia in 1861. When california secedes east california can form up on the union side and create east california. Secession fight should not take long if west California disarms enough. On the other hand north and south dakota were separate states in part be ause they could not agree on wherr the capitol should be

The economy of California is the largest in the United States. As of 2015, California's gross state product (GSP) is about $2.496 trillion.

What these map fails to take into account is there's already proposed 51st state in Northern California and Southern Oregon called the State of Jefferson, they have their own constitution and flag and do not want to be part of California. In fact, Huell Howser did a whole episode on this topic.

who wrote the constitution? Bill of Rights? Who made America great and put us on the map? Who is behind the music and design and movies that makes USA a name around the world? Who are the smarties who run the universities and media and big business that make us respected?

It's the huge flaw in the electoral college... it was designed to be sure the large cities and population centers didn't dominate the more rural and ag areas. Yet the cities are carrying the US economy--why shouldn't they elect the government? Oh wait, that's not liberal LOL...
