I didn't look at the video. Saw it on the news earlier today. Probably better to contact them directly.

Now I have to wait till 9/13 to enroll in their ID guard?

if you're thinking about signing up for the id protection program - read the fine print on the tos.

you forfeit the right to participate in any class action lawsuit regarding losses as a result of the data breach.

nice move, equifax. way to cover your ass.

I read that you can opt out of the arbitration but you have to send them a letter by mail saying specific things. The things are also in the fine print. And think I saw they are listening to the people complaining and making the waiver of arbitration optional.

And yeah, it's a big deal. Identity theft can cost you a lot and fucked up credit can affect getting a job or a place to live--everybody runs credit checks these days.

Why did they wait 6 weeks to inform people?

These are the kinds or reasons I put so much trust in big business, especially financial institutions dealing with my money (cough, cough).

Frog, they had to set up shell companies to make sure the transactions were "under the radar." Probably moved faster during that 6 weeks than for any other issue they ever worked on for the company (cough, cough). Heard they didn't inform the SEC before they did it like they would normally do as an insider - that ought to hang them high.

the best part is that their executives sold their stock after discovering the hack but before they made it public. Now that's how the US democracy is supposed to work !

The US has claimed throughout its history to be a democracy. It is actually an Oligarchy.

nah, not an oligarchy. more like a puppet government owned by the globalists and Illuminati.

our vote doesn't count. why else would the majority of californians polled want bernie to be president, yet killary wins the primary?

but it doesn't matter anyway. they're taking our guns away so they can march us all off to a fema camp. get ready to line up.

About two months ago I found out my SSN number has been hacked when I recieved a call from a collector. She had my SSN # and other personal information. She wanted me to pay for a payday loan someone took out in my name in 2011. She said I should pay them, go find the person who stole my information sue them to get my money back. I told her that no way I would pay her. She said they are coming to arrest me.

The next day I called SSI they told me to call the FTC. The lady I talked to at the FTC told me it was a scam, a phishing expedition.

If cyber security is too hard for these companies to figure out then get the fuck off the interwebs.

These companies that have to pay the ransomware have demonstrated they have no clue how backups work.

Steal my ID, it wont get you very far!

Its only going to get worse folks, hang on to your butt cheeks.
