Ask fetbot & fetbot2

He nailed it!!!

He totally doesn't get it. Protest is about getting attention to your message. Now it spread to schools. School districts have to deal with it. ACLU involved. Total attention with Tramp's help.
|
|
^ this guy doesn't get it.
You don't bring about change by pissing everyone off. Even a protest should be designed to make people ask questions and want to promote your side.
All you're accomplishing with this is being a whiny asshole. It plays well in some arenas, but I think you're going to find that's it's doing more harm to those causes than good.

I love to watch brain damaged pro footballers pissing off football fans. Please show me how bad you are pissed off. Pop corn time. This guy is totally getting it.
|
|
He’s a grade a coon
|
|
Wait, Wot, I'm sorry am I the only one that doesn't understand tasting the elbow?
|

From the same area.
Dude has a grudge against black athletes because he didn’t make it big time.
I guess now is is trying to tap dance and coon his way out of “stop six” neighborhood.

I’m a military brat. Generations before me before me were in the miliitary. Has that stopped any of us from experiencing racism? No.. My first experience with racism was a harsh reality in grade school when my folks retired from the military and moved into a regular neighborhood. My family and many others served to ensure the freedom and equal opportunity for everyone not just a privileged few. The protest never has and never been about the flag.
On that note a cousin was one of the cadets impacted by the hate speech at the Air Force Academy.

Beautiful thing freedom of speech

If the biggest form of discrimination is being rejected from a kiss by a woman who is pretty much a stranger than I guess that qualifies as having a hard knock life.

How many times have you been pulled over by the police for no reason? There is a reason why I don’t visit certain areas. Sometimes it’s not worth all the added scrutiny. Questioned why you are in a certain neighborhood?

Point proven.
The only thing wrong I’m too young for a old uncle kangol and my oldest car is a 2014.

Dude is WAAAYYYY off base. Things he doesn't get:
1) The first amendment gives people the right to PEACEFULLY protest. If black athletes were laughing, talking or goofing around during the Anthem, he would have a point. These players are refusing to stand up for a country that has not stood up for black people!!! Too many times black men have been killed by police while unarmed while police say, "I thought he had a gun." THERE IS TOO MUCH VIDEO EVIDENCE TO ARGUE OTHERWISE, and still nothing seems to happen to these officers. Th flag should represent freedom, BUT, what the outcry to taking a knee CLEARLY shows is that blacks are NOT afforded the same rights as whites.
2) NFL players are protesting the disparity between whites and black in the criminal justice system, It;s NOT ABOUT THEM BEING SPOILED, IT'S ABOUT THEM "STANDING UP FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO VOICE. These are people that have protested (and had dogs sicced on them), marched and been doused with pepper spray), sought sanctuary in the church (and had them fire bombed- four girls in Alabama; shot and killed by a white supremacist in Charleston - and to make matters worse had the police officer take the killer, Dylan Roof, to Burger King before taking him to jail,) WHAT ARE BLACK SUPPOSED TO DO?? (Should they wait for Jesus to fix racism as one megachurch preacher's wife suggested??????)
3) No one has said that the football players don;t appreciate the progress, rather they want blacks and other POC to have the same rights as whites. DO yourselves a favor and look at diversion programs, arrest rates, time spent in jail for THE SAME OFFENSES committed by whites and blacks.
4) Dr. King WAS NOT looked up to by both sides, in fact he was investigated by the FBI for being a communist, He was jailed several times; he and his family were threatened with death many times and finally he was killed for standing up to segregation, fighting for voter's rights.
5) The problem with this "brother" on the video is that he wants to change the narrative by making it about "disrespecting" soldiers /flag instead of INSTITUTIONALIZED, SYSTEMIC RACISM. Why? Because it's MUCH EASIER to deal with. Let's be totally honest, NO WHITE MAN ON THIS SITE WOULD WANT TO TRADE LIVES WITH ANY BLACK MAN ON THIS SITE! Why? black lives are much harder.
DISCUSSIONS about systemic racism must be started if we are truly to make AMERICA GREAT for the FIRST TIME!!! KAEPERNICK was attempting to do just that by "protesting in a resptful way".
|
|
The federal code doesn't mention that kneeling is disrespectful to the flag. However, there have been really disrespectful practices commited by others but no one talks about it. Why is it that suddenly when people of color do it, it's bad?
|
|
I don’t want or need your viticm card.
No I didn’t grow up in the hood. College educated and degreed. No criminal record.
Still doesn’t change the fact that there are some areas that I’m not welcomed in or places.
It still speaks volumes about the fact that I can get off of work at 11 pm and be pulled over and accused of being a dealer two blocks down from my job.
Ps. Good thing my pops is LE and toughg me how to deal with LE.
|
|
@chkstr
It’s amazing how the narrative changed.
I’m still dumbfounded on how someone like my pops who is a veteran and current LE as well as other vets can understand what Kaep is talking about but so many others who haven’t dawned a uniform of any sort have a problem with the message.
When compared to a lot of black men i can say my life is pretty good. But it would be a travesty if myself and other well off black men sit back silent and watch others struggle.
|
|
Mr. Magnum,
YOU get it. I think deep down people DON'T want to get it because tackling racism is difficult. That and Society HATES when black men stand together for improvement. The worst part is, many( black) NFL players are involved in charities or philanthropic endeavors in the hood to help under privileged kids. Now that they want society (read white folks) to enter a dialogue about systemic racism, folks get all jittery.
|
|
Manco,
As usual, just like the bible, people cherry pick WHICH parts they will follow. Nobody is offended by by hot chicks wearing a flag bikini, cuz its patriotic. Nobody i sbooing the flag being unfurled horizontally during NFL games.
Bottom line. many AMERICANS are HIGHLY IGNORANT and rich folks want it that way.
|
|
You can always find your own activities you don't need to watch some overpaid athletes.
One can always boycott watching sports. It is always more fun to participate then to watch.
Lamar I think the guy is spot-on, but what do I know?

chkstr
I do finally get it. It has been drilled into my head for as long as I can remember.
At times I was confused due to so many mixed messages in society. Society says I (we) should hate LE at the same time I saw my LE pops come home everyday with lessons and stories. Society said I wasn’t supposed to like or be as smart as white peopke at the same time most of my friends were white and I did better than them in school.
After a while I understood it not a black peopke vs (LE) or all white people are bad issue but rather institultionslized and systemic racism and built in implicit bias.
It’s disheartening when people assume that speaking up against it means you are anti le and not an independent thinker.
The problem we have cannot be solved with just education or money. It’s going to require people have an open mind and empathy.
Simply making it about the anthem, flag or a president is a distraction.
|
|
Well if it is not World classless. Pray tell what did I do we all know you're a lying sack of shit
|
|
I don't think the issue is really whether Trump's opinion is right or wrong.
I think the real issue is why Trump keeps getting involved in these various pissing contests when we need him to be busy on more important shit. The important shit he cant seem to get much done with.
Either he is just dumb, with poor impulse control or he is smart and just trying to distract us all with relatively unimportant bullshit. Neither one is good.

i love watching smart black passionate black people go against the grain.
lets see what battle the nfl wants to have with direct tv refunds and viewership taking hits
ESPN survey shows Americans interested, divided on NFL protests ...
abcnews.go.com/Sports/espn-survey-shows-americans-interested-divided-nfl.../story?...
1 day ago - Among avid NFL fans, 48 percent said their interest is not impacted, but 31 percent said they were less interested in the league

engine, this is how some people turn the issue into. Did any footballers said they are protesting the flag? They have the chance to bring the issue up to the most people's attention. That's what protesting is about - they are protesting racism.
how you take it is personal. You take a knee to keep the ball for the last few seconds to win. You take a knee to propose. You take a knee when being knighted by the king or queen since ancient times, continuing today.

The NFL has made a serious business mistake in allowing players protests. This is a business, the players are employees, and offending your customers is not part of the business plan.
I do not always agree with our government or with the wars they involve us in, but I will always show respect for my fellow citizens that have fought and sometimes died or been maimed while serving our country.
They may not be offending you, and I would guess if they aren't, you have never lost someone you love in defense of our country...
The players have picked the wrong way to protest and they and the NFL will be punished until they figure it out
