I kind of have to take DT's side on this. Weinstein exchanged sex for favors/money/jobs/fame. We just do it more directly, on a much lower scale. His problem is that he got careless with how he did it. Kind of like how guys here press girls for menu items they don't offer.

How many people here are earning money doing the job they wanted to do in the first place?
There are trade offs being an adult and earning a living. You can help the poor, do ballet, be a teacher and for that take a healthy cut in salary because our society doesn't pay sh_t for that.
There are a lot of sex addicts here treating their addictions one session at a time. Weinstein is not a sex addict. His thing has all to do with power. He has more in common with Paddock than Weiner.

Let's face it, if you are a hot young actress, the path to success is through the casting couch. Not saying they asked for it. But I am saying they knew it was coming. You either deal with that mentally before you start into the biz, or have a plan to deal with it when it happens or just stay out of show business. Not defending male dominated work place sexual harassment that has been in place since forever but men are pigs and men with power are voracious pigs. Nothing will change as long as men are running the business and the business feeds on having lots of beautiful young women around.
