It’s amazing how dumb people can be.
I get the desire to for players to stand up (or sit/kneel down) against injustice... but why damage your own product? Why alienate a large portion of your customer base?
It’s like rioting/burning in your own neighborhood. Yeah... it becomes big news... but in the end you took valuable resources out of your own community.
Player political protests are just one reason for the decline.... but that one is a self-inflicted gunshot wound to your own wallet.

I’m wondering if CBS is struggling that much to find advertisers for Thursday night.
His money is as good as Viagra’s or Preperation H’s.... but those two don’t piss of a large portion of the fan base you are trying to build... so you can sell more advertising.
The NFL has a voice in which ads show during their games.... I would think they want to avoid political as much as they can.

1. The US still has Freedom of Speech ( for now) so anyone can buy time on any broadcast or cable network and make any political speech they wish.
2. Nuclear war is more likely than impeachment. No matter what is proven by the FBI or the CIA, the GOP is party first, church second, country way down the line.
3. If you live in California and own any property you are deluded into thinking there is a tax cut for you. ( unless your income is over 900K)
4. Budget reconciliation barely passed. It has no force of law. New Jersey, New York, California and even Michigan congressmen will be committing political suicide if they vote to end the state income tax and property tax deductions. Re-election trumps even party.
5. Everything that is currently in the GOP plan will be negotiated away except the Corporate tax rate and the estate tax. The Billionaire donor class especially the Koch brothers want to ensure their Oligarchy continues beyond their life times. The repeal of the estate tax ( currently only applies to single estates over 5.5 million, married 10.9 million) will literally save families like the Koch's and the Hiltons BILLIONS.
6. Trickle down economics never works. If this bill passes the US will have a recession within 18-24 months.
Unfortunately we ( Canada) will have a recession as well but I will get richer by buying S&P PUTS.
