Elections have consequences. Hillary was an is supremely qualified. She was also the weakest candidate possible because the GOP and the Russians had years to vilify and hack her. Why anyone would want the job except to enrich family and friends and to be able to pardon the same is beyond my comprehension.
If you did everything you could including volunteering in a battleground state I feel for you. If you didn't then accept the consequence. California is rich and liberal as a state because Californians don't worship or even much tolerate stupid. You want good real estate prices try Mississippi or Alabama or most any red state. You want low taxes move to Kansas. California will do fine in next recession. CA will tax enough to repair roads and infrastructure. Our 12th best University will have a better engineering department and worse football team of any SEC or Big 12 school altogether. Ca will be the state that technology continues explode while West Virginia and Kentucky will be waiting for coal mines to come back. CA will welcome bright, intelligent, diverse people from all over the world. Michigan autoworkers will continue to wonder why Ford doesn't hire them back to put the left rear tire on or to do spot welding while engineers like myself wrote the software years ago to build cars AND drive them without human intervention. But despite everything the state of California and Oregon and Washington too has going for them, they are still part of Trumpsylvania. Trump will continue to lead this country toward a Russian style oligarchy as fast as his little hand and mind can do it. The GOP congress will cry and wail and stamp their feet but when if ever it comes down to talk of impeachment or the senate trial that must follow he will never be forced out of office. He still has a 46% approval rating in Ohio after a disastrous 6 months. He will win re-election even if he has to start a war to do so.
Things are great here in Vancouver B.C. I am dreading a trip down south I must take but I am looking forward to my first use of my Canadian passport...pause for a verse of "oh Canada"
