But not what he stands for.

But he lost. Don doesn't like losers.

Facts: the obituary is real, if not the journalist will have to resign, unlike Fox news, they either claim they are not journalists or they just lie. But it doesn't mean that the content of the obituary is real. Since nobody turned up to tell the whole story, I suppose somebody is hiding somebody. Anyway, I advise USC to change its name. Or I'm sure UCLA will paint it black. History shows that the UCLA painters were unstoppable near game time.

I'm a trader and don't pay tax for every stock transaction. And I don't look at fat chicks.

George and Tom owned slaves.
|
|
George was known to treat his slaves fairly bad, and while Thomas kept writing about getting rid of slavery, he was a racist that thought blacks were inferior. Where is the hate for them?

You could, but you keep turning me down!

Sounds like my man gote.

USC's horse isn't even named Traveler. Anymore than the guy riding him is named Tommy. The very first horse was named Traveler. The rest are just called Traveler because of tradition. I believe the current horse's name is Junior...

FanTC, do you even know what contradiction means? I hope you didn't vote.

Personally, I'm not upset. If Troy University is renamed Barack, I'm sure many Alabamians will return their diplomas. It's about respecting other people's feelings, but they have to be at the right side of history. The fact is that horses named Traveler or Traveller are rare. I bet many of their original owners consider themselves sons or daughters of the Confederacy, who think that the war wasn't all lost. I will be amused when USC students start stealing and selling dungs for a huge profit.

SixD, you are obviously reciting whatever Breitbart and/or Fox News are farting to you. Your sense of history is the same as Don the Idiot. (And all he watches is Fox News of course.)
High school students can tell you what is history, and it is not to be rewritten, which a previously Conferdate state passed a law recently to teach history in a way more favorable to the USA. Whole schools protested as any good students of history will do. Only communists, fascists and dictators rewrite history. (Now includes elected officials of that stupid state.)
Statues are all about symbolism. We do not and should not celebrate/honor/worship evil/wrongfulness. It's the same after Mosses got and read the ten commandments. God asked him to tell the Israelites, newly freed slaves, "Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold."
Humans tear down statues and monuments all the time. That's totally different from rewrite history.

Robert E. Lee was a traitor to the United States and a war criminal. He should have been shot after the Civil War. He took up arms against the USA in direct violation of his oath. He caused the death of hundreds of thousands to perpetuate and EXPAND slavery. The South was not even willing to compromise on the expansion of slavery and took the first shot to start the war. Robert E lee was a great general and so was Ghengis Khan and Field Marshall Rommel. Neither were great men. Yes Washington and Jefferson owned slaves. Washington freed all of his at his death. Both were flawed but great men who built the USA. Lee tried to destroy it. One of the reasons I left the US was because much of this country reveres men like Lee and Jefferson Davis and would have been happy with slavery continuing. My new country has no such stain. Shame on Fubar and anyone else supporting the ideals of the antebellum south.

I don't think Robert E. Lee's horse knew he was fighting to support slavery. Lee was first in his class at West Point, served honorably in the Mexican-American War, and probably would have been the Union Commander if he hadn't followed Virginia into the Confederacy. He paid dearly for his decision to follow his state instead of the Union. Arlington National Cemetery was his plantation before the Civil War.
The name of Tommy Trojan's horse doesn't really bother me enough to tear up my diploma.
