He promised a lot of stuff (no cuts to social security or medicaid, tax increase on the rich, a big shiny wall paid for by Mexico, a pull out of Afghanistan, a better health care for all.
Does that sound like any thing the POTUS is doing?

No wall.
A big tax cut for the rich.
To gut medicaid and end social security and medicare.
And want endless war in the Middle East.

The whole point of the climate deal is that we have enjoyed our cars and if we want to avoid extreme weather like historic drought and historic flood, we pay China and India off so they don't enjoy their cars as much as ourselves. Since most of them haven't driven much, they wouldn't know what they are missing.
Of course, whether it is value for money depends on what you choose to deny.
In a state full of climate change deniers and anti-vaxxers, I really don't understand. One group deny correlations and the other relies only on it.

Walter, I bet you are really in California. Historic drought is good because the HOA left me alone for several years. It's convenient to deny the ant-vaxxer's correlations. Walter, all-bright people understand that things are seldom all or nothing. It's not a ball game. People concerned about climate change oppose the Paris agreements for a different reason as you explained. Why you have to spam the board for nothing? Please stop making nonsenses disrupting our intellectual discussions.
And do you have half a brain? Cost benefit analysis goes together. This is the symptom of watching only and too much Faux news. Everybody with more than half a brain will ask himself/herself/hirself/hemself questions and wake up.
The huge cost analysis comes from the right. There are other analysis and scenarios that cost modestly. Where this money goes are publicly listed, like helping tiny islands to cope with climate change, Maldives, Mauritius, Fuji etc. Since I haven't been to all of them yet, for me the money will be well spent.
And since some projects are in Egypt, Peru, India, etc, I bet any white supermiss will bark and any nationalist will disappove.
As for the benefits? Need I say more?
