Two incidents like this so close together point to a major issue.
Can we hold off on the stupid attempt to blame Trump until after they've recovered all the missing sailors?
BTW, I was no fan of Obama but I would never have even thought of blaming him for this.

So U say they are going to blow up the enterprise. The old one or the new one? Well with the old one they tried it one time and I had to help fix it back to be seaworthy. There is now a new one and carriers are not on the edge of the group or fleet.. Then again it might look like it is. Ergo there goes another destroyer

Something very serious is wrong with the electronics the Navy is using. Those guys are trained too well to have two ships fuck up like this. I am starting to believe the navigation systems programs are being hacked by bad guys. NK? The simple answer is the guys on the watch fucked up. But twice? Both time similar accidents with cargo ships. This is to strange for the simple answer.

The biggest command problem is that every officer wants to drive a ship. It's the only sure route to promotion. Just like any other profession some are better than others. If you are GREAT at commanding a surface ship your reward will probably be a promotion and then a job in the Pentagon. In addition Destroyers are commanded by Lt. Commanders which are typically someone in their mid thirties with maybe one tour as an executive officer. Warships should be commanded by those who are best at it instead of arbitrarily giving command as a rotation for anyone wanting to make Admiral.
