so, according to that article- the state of california spent 958 billion on public welfare programs between 1992 and 2015. with a current population of 39.5 million that comes out to about $24,250 per resident (not citizen...'resident').
how much did you all get?

Based on those numbers, it appears that instituting a universal monthly stipend and abolishing welfare programs would be a win, win situation
