It is a good idea, but Angler1...you must ask yourself how responsible you are. How prepared are you for life's challenges.
I know Ms Lorren is incredibly prepared for every single minute of every single day. Me on the hand, it's not unusual for me to wander about aimlessly looking for my keys, only to discover they're in my hand. My lifestyle? How dare you, I don't want to discuss that...anyways I would be concerned that I'd always leave my straw behind. I'd arrive at Starbucks and it wouldn't be with me. I'd have to grab a plastic one.

I guess in a pinch a stainless steel straw could serve as a self defense implement, an extension to secure a fallen cell phone in the car, or to fake you have a pen if some nudnik is asking you to write something down.

I was having dinner with a group of people last Saturday, and one of them said that straws kill turtles. I'm not sure if that was in reference to the giant plastic waste raft that's afloat in the ocean, but I suspect it was. As usual, Adina is setting a good example for us all with her use of reusable stainless steel straws. Do your part to save turtles by curtailing the use of plastic straws, and drink responsibly. PSA is over.

I totally support the cutting down on plastic waste. But all of the rules and laws here about recycling are very new to me. It seems like California is on the right path trying to save the planet but the rest of the country hasn't caught up with their practices yet.

I saw a Twizzlers commercial today suggesting that their product can replace plastic straws.

It recently occurred to me that Grump's assless chaps requires less of an ecological footprint to produce...but it leaves a larger ass print.

Bring your own fucking straw if needed.
Every state will be waterless/strawless unless asked for. And usually paper straws.
Not sure the data on recycling plastic vs paper but someone is making money off of it.
