Things to come

I stopped at the 99 cent store in Montclair and got a big surprise when I went to get a shopping cart. Now each cart has a device that connects it to the cart in front of it by a small chain. To release the cart you haft to insert a quarter in the device. I imagine it's coming to more stores soon.

It’s a nice anti-theft mechanism. Simple solutions are the best.
They should’ve kept to the old trick when the cart stops once you take it to the pavement.

My hypothesis was that they added a proximity sensor, that way when it senses a large distance from the source (store) the wheels lock.

Oh crap if I had known you get your quarter back I would have got a cart. Zoomie you're right not one cart in the parking lot other than Target carts.

I sometimes hang at Aldi's perving out on the females and waiting for someone to leave their cart in the parking log. Once I got two. A quarter is two whole days of mail on HX.

Oops I just bought a thousand thin grocery bags at Costco for 10 bucks.

I sell them for a nickel apiece. I just stand with the bags at the entrance to grocery stores.
Then I can get my ripple for the day.

Pretty soon I'll be selling straws also.

I hope they make some more laws in California they don't have nearly enough
