Thankfully it is not 1918 amidst the "Great Influenza", the 1918 Spanish Flu killed more people worldwide than the casualties suffered during WW1. The flu epidemic raged from 1918-1920 and then mutated to a more manageable virus.
Epidemiology is fucking fascinating!
We are truly overdue for a large-scale epidemic, as morbid as it sounds it is natural, for as long as humans have existed we have died en masse via the infinite microbial power of Viruses and Bacterium.

Too many fuckers who don't wash their hands after a #1 or 2....SMH

@DT
Chlorea is spread via contaminated water (usually with fecal matter in the water supply), thankfully it is all but nonexistent in the U.S., Other countries still have Chlorea epidemics though.
Not sure you'd want to have sex with a Cholera infected individual as it causes acute and violent diarrhoea!

You're a ray of sunshine.

Yersinia Pestis (a particularly virulent strain, with foci somewhere along the Silk Road or Mongolian Steppes)- AKA, Bubonic Plague, The Black Death, Plague of Justinian and Plague of Athens(arguably but likely the causation) and the Great Plague of 1666!
Y.Pestis is my favorite epidemic to study, so fascinating there is a delightful BBC Program called "Medival Dead" Where archeological osteologists and forensic archeologists excavate plague pits and talk about the bodies, I highly recommend!

Its a blog about the flu? And I love epidemiology and history and I assume many on here do not know, thus I will at least spout intelligent and interesting information than vitriol and boring jokes
|
|
You missed the point. This place is all about boring jokes. Kind of like Idiocracy.
|
|
I get that, but I do what I desire, I like writing and It is relevant to the topic at hand
To each their own
