If that memo is meant to exonerate Trump or his associates, then Trump needs a new fluffier. The memo doesnt say that the dossier was the only source of reason for the secret surveillance warrant. No doubt the dossier played a part, but we already know that supposedly Australian intelligence reported to us that one of Trumps aides had been talking to Russian diplomats. I also read somewhere that the Swedish Intelligence may have also passed some info about Trump associates to US counterparts.
The cherry picking maybe that Nunes knows that he cant publicly cite the Australians or the Swedes because 1. It goes against his fake politically motivated dossier narrative 2. It may give up our friendly allies Intelligence cooperation and assets. Nunes probably knows that Democrats cant publicly cite these others foreign sources in their rebuttal because it may divulge these other countries intelligence gathering methods/timing/agents.
What astonishes me is what drives Nunes or what the Russians possibly has on Nunes that causes him to shamelessly risk everything to protect Trump?
I guess its theoretically possible that Nunes may simply be so devoted to Trump or his policies, but Nunes acts w an air of desperation (sneaking to White House in middle of night to receive secret White House docs to leak, single-handedly writing this memo w his staff, issuing supponae on Russian meddling when he publicky recused himself) that I think there is some duress involved.
The only Russian-Nunes connection Ive read was that he invested in a winery that uses a Russian distributor w ties to Putin. However, I think his partial stake in the winery only profited $50k from that distribution, and the winery uses many other distributors as well.
If anyone has read about other stuff on Nunes or any other Russian connections he may have, please share. IMHO Nunes acts like a man who�s been compromised but Im surprised that other than the possible winery connection, no one has found any other Russian connected dirt on him yet...and it may very well be that he may be squeaky clean?
