I'll admit that Female rap isn't my favorite genre, but I do know talent when I hear it,
and she sounds like a dime a dozen... Just no wow factor for me at all...
We do *go* to strip clubs. They all play "Bodak Yellow" so much that it's like a doorbell. When someone new enters the club, Cardi's song starts playing.
If you saw any of her old posts when she first popped on the scene as a vlogger you wouldn't be surprised by her looks hehe. I am not particularly a fan of her music but she has been consistently herself throughout the process and that is what I like about her. I like her delivery but the content is meh. I will stick to my 80's and 90's rap/hip hop with a few new school cats like Kendrik, Joyner lucas, weezy 7 a few others....
She is popular because she is relatable. She is everyone's chola cousin. If you didn't have one already Cardi B is here for you. She is showing up at your next bbq with a fat tray of potato salad, 4 inch gold hoop earings and some Valentina in her purse that costs more than she makes in 2 months
I hate rap and hip hop (anything put out in the last 10-15years at least-crap I'm old lol)
But I love Cardi. Probably because she's not ashamed of where she came from and her music makes me want to go to work and shake my butt all over all the mens while they throw their wallets at me π
