Where is Some Like It Hot? It has to be on the list.
Godfather Part II has got to be on the list, preferably in the top three or four spots.
I would like to see On The Waterfront be included.
Where is Mean Streets?
Brian De Palma's like what about mi Carlito?
Eastern Promises?
De Niro's directorial debut A Bronx Tale?
I'd include True Romance on my list...

Yes agree about godfather, I need to check out others.
I love your movie taste.

I spent an entire summer back in '14 on an Alaskan fishing boat, and watching Goodfellas every other night never got old.

Where's Scarface and Carlitos way?
Oh... Scarface is opinion based... Ok my opinion Once apon a time in America 100Ć better then Bonnie and Clyde and I love a young Warren Betty. But Deniro and James woods #Classic

I love Married To The Mob. Jonathan Demme is a favorite director of mine. I think it could find a way on to any top 10 list. What a cast!!! Modine, Pfeffier, Baldwin, Ruehl
Demme likes to reuse actors in many of his films. Therte are several actors who appear in both Married to the Mob and Silence of the Lambs.
Mambo Italiano credit sequence...hello Rosemary Clooney
"Tell ya what Angela, it all boils down down to follicles. You've been blessed, one head in a million." The dude who says this line is the same actor who gets beat to death by Hanibal Lecter in the Tennessee escape scene.
Tony: You're smoking in bed again.
Karen: It's a water bed, Tony.
Connie: "If I ever catch you twos together..."
The name of the hair salon where Angela DeMarco is hired...Hello Gorgeous

@Supermanloversfv A blogger named heyduke mentioned Bronx Tale.
What about The one who started it all...James Cagney in White Heat
White Heat has been covered quite often recently. Mentioned in FEB Noir of 40s blog. But yes a good one, probably not top 10 IMO.
Key Largo!! Edward G Robinson and those those damn storm curtains or whatever the fuck they're called...

Shouldn't both Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs count as gangster movies?
One upon a Time in America starring Robert De Niro, James woods and directed by Sergio Leone, great movie. I would also put The Usual Suspects in this category, another great film.
Yes it's a Trarantino movie...I think there is some chaarcter overlap from Dogs, to Pulp to Jackie Brown.
Tony Scott deserves much of the credit for the great movie. He's an exceptional director in his own right and turned in his best work with the amazing Tarantino (Avary too) screenplay.
Tony Scott also Directed Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop 2, Crimson Tide
Why post somebodies else list? Why look at IMDB? you cannot form your own opinion? Why not just post the movies you liked. You look at the great films list and Gone With the Wind is always at or near the top but in my opinion the movie sucked.

Boulevard Nights
I mentioned this movie a few days ago in my Film Noir 40s Feb blog...The Killers (1946) directed by Richard Siodmak. Starring Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner...enough said.
How bout best lines from gangster movies?
Like "How about you, Lash Laroo? Can you keep your spurs from jingling and jangling?"
"Shit negro that's all you had to say!"
Any list without Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction is kind of a joke.
And Godfather II is better than the first one.
Guess I'm old but...
The Warriors
Boyz in the Hood
American Me
Colors
Menace II Society
American History X
City of God
Lords of Flatbush
Gangs of New York
Enter the Dragon ... (Kung Fu Gang)
