I really like to fish in the Eastern Sierras. When I get tired of eating fish I sometimes set up a simple snare trap and try to get me a pheasant or grouse. Fresh mountain pheasant slowly cooked over a open fire is awesome.

Try hunting peasant. It's more challenging and when you bag one, there's a whole lot more to eat. Little chewier than pheasant.

Hunting is noisy, attracts attention. Setting a snare is quiet especially in those canyons where it echos.
