He even acknowledged that half his family is in this country illegally.
He touts California having the highest minimum wage, tightest gun and ammunition laws, tightest green house gas laws, sanctuary state, etc.
But, he like the rest of our politicians, don't talk about California having the school system ranking of 39th or 40th, depending upon which poll and we have the highest student per teacher ratio in the country.
No one is talking about rising gas tax, one of the higher state income taxes, one of the higher sales taxes, huge auto registration fees.
No one wants to discuss that California has the highest median monthly housing cost as a share of income.
de Leon's last name is actually Leon, but I guess he likes the de, sounds more Spanish.
He called a non profit to inquire about getting his daughter a job and then next legislative session, he ushered in a bill that helped the company that gave his daughter the job....
Yep, he would be a far better choice than Feinstein....damn, this State is really headed toward being that third world shit hole that Trump talked about....LOL.

My point is that I think people like deLeon will actually make it WORSE. Because he has NO clue as to the problems in this State....all they care about in Sacramento is making sure we have the cleanest air and bring in more illegal aliens to appease the Hispanic vote. They care more about people who are NOT citizens that they do about those who live here legally.
Sacramento and deLeon are totally supportive of minimum wage increases, even though studies in Seattle clearly show that the actual net weekly income either increase slightly or actually dropped slightly due to fewer hours worked.....

My point is that this action by the CA legislature would be his MO if he got to Washington. Pay attention to people's voting records...they usually predict the future...and deLeon is pushing a very socialistic agenda.

I have lived in this state for nearly 50 years. I remember and many here remember a State that truly lead the nation in things that are really important...
High paying manufacturing jobs, had the best educational system, had the nation's best freeway system, truly the California Dream. Now that is moving toward the California Nightmare.

NO one can live on minimum wage in California as a sole bread winner.
It doesn't matter what rate you set it at.
Yes, the manufacturing jobs gave way to high tech...but idiots in this state and across the nation seem hell bent on bringing even more poorly educated people into this country who cannot compete for the new jobs. We don't need more people at the bottom end competing with each other for minimum wage jobs and then complain that they need more.
Those same people wind up on the various social programs since they cannot live on that minimum wage.
And Frog...we are not whining. We are trying to be voices in this state that the direction is not good. We are spiraling down. As Fubar said, we don't hate the State. We hate the terrible direction it is taking.
There are only two states now that have average regular gas prices above $3.00, CA and Hawaii. We pissed away all of the gas revenues for the last couple of decades on other programs and now we have deteriorating roads and highways.
Frog..... so let's bring in more uneducated workers who cannot fill high tech jobs and since we lost the manufacturing jobs what do they do?
Frog...you obviously don't spend much time outside the Liberal Bubble we call California. There are more and more Americans who are fed up with the bullshit of our politicians. That is the exact reason Trump was elected. And many of those same people will hold their noses and vote for him again, especially if the Dems run someone like Elizabeth Warren, Hillary again...LOL, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and others.
