Let's face it, the NRA is powerful and it won't be easy. But he is working to clamp down on some of the open ended stuff they have fought off.
I am pro gun, and people have a right to own guns. But they need to be regulated.Too many idiots have them.

Well... The NRA is an incredibly powerful lobby. They have an annual budget of nearly 300 million dollars. Over 5 million devoted members.
As everyone knows... all politics are local. The NRA wields a lot of political influence. There are few congressional and senatorial races that are blow outs. That means having NRA clout (or losing it) can be the difference in a local race.
Trump may have tiny hands... but he obviously has huge balls.
I'm really not concerned about background checks... but I am concerned about gun registration, ownership limitations and search and seizure issues.
I hate slippery slope arguments... but I am concerned about what could happen if we continue moving the line on 2nd and 4th Amendment issues.
I understand the desire to remove guns from dangerous people.... I'm not sure how you do that without removing them form trustworthy, law abiding citizens.
That is without the "ability to rise up against tyranny" argument.

Hate to say I told you so. But I told you so  it's gonna be up to the people to save the 2nd amendment. The government is just going to want to keep chipping away at it. It doesn't matter who is president and what they promise. The president can be Republican or Democrat. Trump said like a million times he would protect the 2nd amendment and now he's talking about taking rights like due process away from the people.
And talking isn't going to help. People are going to have to call their representatives and senators. People are going to have to speak up at council meetings and other institutional meetings. People need to run for office too. People need to act now before it's too late.
How else are we supposed to protect ourselves from bears while building our tents in the woods or when having keggers in the middle of nowhere. My country people know what Im talking about. Fucking aye! The 2nd amendment must be protected! God bless America!

Nobody is talking about doing away with the 2nd Amendment.... just assault rifles. Nobody's hunting any deer with an AR-15 or an SKS. People need to be accepting of small town America and country life. Small Town American Life is as valuable as big city life. For as it says in the Declaration of Independence "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men (and women,and all races) are created equal.." If we had better leadership all races and all people would've come together already. It's not like bringing people together is as hard as building a time machine, now that's a challenge. It's not like bringing people together is as hard as humans traveling to other galaxies, now that's a challenge. Let us all hope that one day all racism and classism will end.
