If you think Irvine is going to allow anybody to dump these people into their Crown Jewel, The Great Park, you are mistaken. They should haul those fuckers down to Donald Bren's house in Newport instead.

It would be cheaper to buy them all a bus ticket or chartering a bus and send them to New Mexico. That is what should have been done instead of giving them motel room (dumb waste of money there) They would even have a better chance of building some kind of life there. They definitely will have NO chance to succeed in the OC, even if they want to. Just moving them around from place to place is a waste of taxpayer money and resources. I just don't know what the govt in the OC is thinking.

The US is becoming a 3rd world country. With the continued revolution in electronics and robots, in the future, no one’s job will be safe. With rents and housing prices escalating more men , women , and children will join the ranks of the homeless. The 3rd Reich had a solution to the problem of “the worthless” and some of that thinking is creeping into some of the blogs responses.

The post above me is a reasonable one. It's clear that the don is level headed and well traveled. This country, despite it's wealth and infrastructure is indeed a third world hovel that probably will fall apart by the end of the year.

What does third world really mean...I'm sure many of you intellectually curious HX'ers are wondering this. Well...dictionary.com says something like:
1. the underdeveloped nations of the world, especially those with widespread poverty.
2. the group of developing nations, especially of Asia and Africa, that do not align themselves with the policies of either the U.S. or the former Soviet Union.

Some states are buying the homeless one way tickets to hawaii, they can live there year round in 75 degree weather and live off the land. Hawaii isnt happy about it though.
