The safety certificate is only good for 5 years. I have to get it renewed at that time.

I just bought 600 bullets (45 caliber) for about $140 bucks.

i took that test several years ago. at the time, the guy behind the counter described it not as a test- but a tax. if you loose or forget the card the next time you buy a gun, you have to take the test over again. and pay the few bucks for it. so it's just a way to get a little more revenue. stupid.
oh, and save the receipt so you can deduct it on your taxes.

I was at a store purchasing a 12ga and this couple came in after me asking to take the FSC test. 30 questions, multiple choice. The guy answered all A's and failed miserably. That's the kind of person you'll see on tv where the news anchor says, "A couple was accidently shot and rushed to the hospital today...."
