The Electoral College has nothing to do with gerrymandered districts. Trump won because he eked out victories in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania while losing New York and California by huge margins thus losing the popular vote. The GOP has a natural advantage because even the least populous states have three electoral votes.
He also won because the 5-10% of population in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio etc who are devout white Supremacists seldom voted because both candidates at least gave lip service to equality in past elections. Trump was the first candidate in modern history that appealed to this segment of the US population. Finally he won because the US is a POS country that the most religious are the most evil and a large segment of the population thinks the amount of melanin in ones skin defines his character. Trump won because the US worships stupidity. The percentage of "home" schooling continues to rise. Scientist are routinely disbelieved. 80$ of the GOP get all their news from an Australian billionaire. Finally Trump won because the Russians targeted just enough black males to stay home and just enough undecided whites to vote for an idiot. The US got exactly what is deserves including this "middle Class" tax plan.

Hey, Detroit...didn't you make your 'money' here in the U.S. ....so I guess this place isn't the shit hole you keep saying it is....
I love all the people who bitch and complain but who had done very well in this country.....but alas, to work hard and be successful is something other detest and many want to tax the shit out of them, just because they have been successful....
Anyone who doesn't have a job now is either legitimately disabled in some way or a lazy piece of garbage.

But everyone is whining and bitching about lowering the top tax rate......and the Dems contend this tax plan is just a give away to the rich....
Taxpayers with income over $100,000 a year earn 60 percent of the nation’s income and pay 95.2 percent of the income taxes in the United States.
Those making over $200,000 comprise just over 5 percent of the nation’s taxpayers, earn 32.3 percent of the income, but pay 70 percent of federal income taxes.
This tax plan is trying to give EVERYONE a break....but we are supposed to keep sticking it to the rich....

Hey Detroit what did the KoolAid taste like? Somehow you have come to believe pure bullshit. 5-10% of Wisconsin residents are white supremacists? Just where the living breathing hell do you get this? That would be between two and four hundred thousand people. Go back to your safe space and hug your blanket.
And for all the electoral college haters. Our country is in exactly the demographics situation that it was enacted for. Without it, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Miami, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore could control every Presidential election from here on. The rest of the United States could go fuck itself as there would be no way to overcome their sheer numbers.
