this moviepass could be good if their normal theater is participating

also gift card to one of netflix, hulu or amazon if they don't have it...might have to get them a roku stick if they don't have smart tv

restaurant gift card that might be out of their normal reach or comfort zone money wise

Why are gift cards popular? I much prefer to give cash as a gift. And if I'm the recipient...it's a no-brainer.

I have dozens of unused gift cards from various stores that just sit in this plastic freezer bag of mine...Foot Locker, Champs, Robek's, Macy's, Nordstrom, Target, Fleet Feet Encino, Cheesecake Factory, Las Brisas, Morton's, Target, Home Depot, Best Buy and Barnes & Noble to name a few...well over $4000 worth of plastic that I'll likely barely or never use.

it did say last minute gift idea

cash is good for the 18-22 year old....kinda awkward giving cash to a college grad making 40-80k somewhere.

it's even awkward to someone older who is kind of a fuck up in life not making much money...gift cards to things they might need vs cash where they go do bad shit with it.

Duke, gift cards are the worst.

If you want... I’ll come by and get the bag of gift cards out of your house for you.
I’ll take care of them.

I’m just a good friend like that.

It's not awkward to give cash to anyone IMO. Those college grads of yours are relative paupers earning a meager salary of 60k or so...Give 'em a couple Ben Franklins and tell them not to be so uppity. They have a long way to go.
