They have a nice and interesting downtown area with some interesting casual restaurants as well as a few more upscale places. Rock n Brew and Good Stuff are two that I have enjoyed. Or you could go south, hugging the beach to find the business districts of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.

There is a place on El Segundo Blvd called Meat n Taters
I think it is actually in Gardena but close by
