It doesn't work. I got the shot and I'm sick with the flu. My doctor forgot to mention the virus used for making the vaccine is not the same as the two most prevalent virus strains this season. So I'm going to blame Obama because Trump says we can blame him for everything and lay in bed feeling awful.

I got the flu shot this year. Guy at work got sick the same day as me, i was fine in 3 days, he was out of commision for 10 days, had to go to the hospital and get fluids, we both had the flu. The shot helps prevent from getting it, and helps fight it better if you get it. So glad i got mine

Most years they do a lot better job with the flu vaccine.
I just got over the flu, came down with it on Christmas.
My head felt like it was stuffed full of cotton balls. I ended up
literally sleeping two days straight.
I had a fever and nasal drainage, but my stomach was fine.
The flu two years ago (2015) was much worse.

My friend is a nurse and gave me a flu shot at the bar that we both hang out at. I must be a real pussy because my arm was hurting bad for a few days after, really hurting. Had to drink with my other hand during that crisis.

I call bullshit on people dying FROM the flu shot.
Death as a result of getting a flu shot is very rare (risk of death from any vaccine is rare, and as noted allergic reactions to egg components might be the only fatal reaction--the injectable vaccine contains no live virus and cannot cause influenza).
5-20% of Americans get the flu each year.
Deaths from the flu have ranged from 3,000 to 49,000 depending upon year and the strength of the flu strain.
Even if the shot is only 25% effective....it improves your chances of NOT getting it by that percentage.
When used correctly, wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of fatal injury to front seat passenger car occupants by 45%. So don't wear a seat belt since it in less than 50% effective...
Even if the flu shot is 10% effective, don't you want to improve your odds???

No doctor, but people are tossing around statistics that are totally inaccurate. The news media scares the crap out of people and people then don't make smart decisions.
Why would you not want to reduce your chances of getting the flu by 10%, 20%, 30% or even more, depending upon the year and the strain.
People don't GET the flu from the vaccine...since it does not contain live virus. People would only die FROM the shot if they had some egg allergy.....
But, hey, as Fubar said, let more people die from the flu if they are so stupid not to take reasonable precautions...

You always want to answer that Ashkenazi...besides the pale coloring of our skin tone, we have them handled in every other department. One could ponder the state of Israel and what it would be were it not for the influence of Ashkenazis...one just has to spend a few days in Israel to see long term gap of the educationally dominant Ashkenazis and the faster producing Sephardics.

Of course, I don’t think the CDC has released its final effectiveness figure, but don’t improve your odds even by 10%. Get the flu and be one that dies.... that is a far more intelligent choice.

The flu shot isnt perfect but it is usually very good at preventing the flu most years. At the very least it will reduce the symptons......a lot. Some years its better than others. Those who don't get the shot will sooner or later get a major dose of the flu and will proceed to change their minds.
The evidence is overwhelming that flu shots work.

Like you said, one day they will get a real dose of the flu....then maybe they will change their tune.

That documentary is not overly liked by the respected IMDB members. It's received a 6.1 out of 10. So I'll be choosing to pass that documentary. It's a subject matter that does not appeal to me in the slightest.
This 6.1 user rating made me immediately think of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As I was popping around my box office sites (mojo, hsx, gitesh) I was crunching the numbers on TLJ and compared it to TFA. The significantly better box office receipts belong to TFA in '15. This made me want to compare the audience ratings of both movies on Rotten Tomatoes, and I was absolutely shocked. TLJ has an audience rate of 50% fresh.
I liked the movie, very much. I've seen it twice and rate it third best of the eight films. But it would seem that it has completely split the fan base.

Plus these leaked stories coming from the Han anthology are creating bad buzz. The decision to give Ron Howard the directors post has upset me greatly. I don't think he's the proper choice at all. This Han Anthology would be happy to hit Rogue One's domestic earnings of 530 million. Han Solo could go sub 500 mil domestic...which would be a pretty big miss.
