Pick the one closest to where you live so that every time you drive by it, you’re reminded of how much money you wasted by not going to the gym.

It's fun to go to the YMCA.

Are you looking for recommendations for any gym in CA? Seems like an overly broad request.

go to the one with the hottest chicks...might provide you the extra motivation to actually go

Ladies, please provide your social security number and mother's maiden name so that this guy can get an even better idea of who you are.
Mentioning your favorite gym will only allow him to use the treadmill behind the one you are using.....without you knowing.

Art..... I watch you on the stair master. Looking good my friend!
Lemme know if you need help with that wedgie.

Make sure you do some research on their cancellation policy first! Don't ask the employees what it's like, actually go on Google on see what real people have to say. Some places make it extremely difficult to cancel so if you decide you don't like your gym getting it out of your life can be a massive hassle. It's usually the big chains that do this but I know people who have been fucked over by family run operations too.

Equinox in Hollywood. If you want to take your performance to new heights! The luxury amenities include the spa, 3-lane indoor saltwater pool and a dedicated plunge pool. The only down side may be price?

Hey Fubar, thanks for the recommendation but I was thinking a gym where I could work out, not work it out. Basically I'm undecided between Planet fitness, 24 Hr, and Fitness 19. Those are within a distance I would drive, and actually stop at. I've looked at some of the fit camp places around, but I don't think I want to spend that much at the moment. I was just looking for more ideas so I could do my homework on them.

24 Hour is kinda skanky and dirty. I go to LA Fitness instead, they keep it clean.

I think budget and need decides.
Planet fitness is probably the cheapest... ($10 mo. Until 1/10) I just joined so that I would have a shower near work. They don’t offer classes like 24 and some of the nicer gyms. Pretty basic in most locations. Treadmills, weights, machines, etc....
I love my gym near home. (that is where I work out) but I like to run or play golf closer to work. Can’t beat playing golf or a run early... shower then into the office. 10 bucks Is a steal.
24hr.Sport are nice with a lot of other stuff smaller gyms may not offer (pool, basketball, racquetball, indoor running track, etc...) but that’s going to be 20-40 bucks a month. Worth it if you will use it.
So.... it all depends on your needs and budget

IF you want to get into awesome shape, it's pricey but a ton of fun-
Crossfit
Crossfit gyms are every where now and it's best to check out each gym you're interested in, to see the facilities, the instructors and check Yelp reviews to get honest feedback.
January is the time most chain gyms have specials....

Wouldn't it be cheaper and better exercise to just go to Boyle Heights or South Central LA and start shouting racial slurs? You'd be getting that explosive kind of exercise, not the boring crunches, etc. And you'd really put the effort into it when they start chasing you. Just suggesting...

"I just remember a daredevil dude putting on a helmet and going up to a crowd of black dudes and yelling TOMMY HILFIGER!!!
Would have been a funnier movie.

There's a bunch of gay dudes at my gym. Mufuckas stare at a nigga's nutsack in the showers.
And yall ladies think you got prollems!

Them fuckers give me a lotta compliments about my nutsack.
My nutsack bring all the boys in the yard, and they like it's better than yours.
Damn right, it's better than yours. I can teach you, but I have to charge.
