Don't let your neighbors see it being delivered. That is don't have the locksmith roll up in their truck that says safes and locks all over and pull out a box with a nice picture of the safe on it and struggle to roll it in the house on a two wheel dolly.

Seems it would be safer in a bank safe deposit box no?

I like the idea of having the metals close to me in case of emergencies like a earthquake.
Lead is the most precious metal after an earthquake!
Only if it is backed by powder.

Hey dumb ass. This isn't the place to tell the world you keep gems n cash at your pad.
BlackHef is taking notes as we speak. The world is a harsh cruel place. A bitch will set you up and her bf/daddy will empty your pockets.
Tuff love , I know. If you need a swift kick to the ass, let me know.

Thank you Grump. There goes my retirement plan.
gil, maybe if you told us exactly how much of each bar you have we can help you more precisely. Weight matters.
Without the above knowledge, my advice is a gun safe is the best thing.

Today I keep my metals in a safe deposit box. I have been thinking of moving them to my home. I like the idea of keeping them close. Since I rent and I am not on the ground floor and do not have a garage to bolt to cement i am wondering best way to bolt a safe in place. I do not think i can do a wall safe but the are under the stairs has beams I may be able to bolt too. I am just wonder ing what is the best type to buy. Electronic key pads, finger print recognition, the older style wheel combo, I am a pretty good size dude who can easily lift, by the use of straps and a bar, a 150 lb or so safe up stairs and lift it into place.
How much does the Sam's club safe weigh? Is it heavy enough to not have to worry about bolting to the structure frame?
Thanks, I will check it out. Will the key open the safe if the electronic key pad gets damaged?

Costco has one on sale for the next week, Bighorn 6.9 cubic foot, 30" high x 20" wide x 20" deep, weighs 220 lbs. $100 off, $480 sale price.
I like that Costco safe. I am thinking I can wrap a few straps around it then lay it down and slide 2 metal poles under the straps and tighten the straps and 2 people should be able to carry it up the stairs.

don't get anything rated under 700 lbs and at least 90 min fire protection

Kick in a wall fill the cavity with the metals and screw a sheet of drywall over it.
Hire a painter to come patch and pain. If behind bathroom say it was a plumbing patch, or what ever really none of their business.
A lot less likely that anyone will walk off with your PMs then if they were in a safe... Unless you go off posting about it on all your social media accounts....
If your a buy and hold only for emergency type then the lack of access won't be a problem.
I have found cash in a tub clean out once, old owner must of forgot it was there....
Others I know have found rifles in their new attic...
