Shuddering is likely caused by glazing of the lock-up torque converter (friction material external to fluid path) or the bands not grabbing. This can be caused by low fluid pressure, or worn material. If you're running well now, baby the tranny; you've extended the life a bit.
A fluid/filter change, and band adjustment may also help.

I want to keep my truck for another year or so and not have to pay for a new torque converter or transmission rebuild. The stuff works.
