Big Money in it . CALAVA is a public company . Mission Produce is owned by investors and a couple guys from central valley . The boys from Mission got to split $ 300,000,000 in Profit last year
Index Fresh is the Co op that is strictly California Avocados .
All Avocados flow through CALAVA or Mission no matter were they grow .
They are getting out of Mexico . Way too dangers . The Plan Manager at Mission was murdered
Last year . Shot in the head . He told me not to worrier , hes paying off all the right people !

The HAAS avocado was developed in La Habra Heights. Still plenty of old growth trees producing on residential lots. They are there for the taking, if you know the spots.
