You neo cons need to google California economy instead of using your alt facts to downplay the Dems and Brown handling of CA. We are now(again) the 5th biggest economy in the world. Texas is a Trillion down and #11. And now the repubfux want to get rid of the gas tax which has added billions toward our infrastructure repairs. Seems like the repubs and their leader trumpy love to tout infrastructure repairs, but they don't put up money for it. Poor gas guzzlers are hurting pumping their petrol or (clean) diesel? ahhhh. http://www.businessinsider.com/california-economy-ranks-5th-in-the-world-beating-the-uk-2018-5

All of the tax increases are going to the pension liability. As of Feb, 2018 California was ranked 43rd in the country in Financial Solvency.

I live in California, and tend to more liberal than conservative. But even I have to agree that California has their priorities screwed up.

They have a social welfare program for EVERYTHING! But can't fund their pensions for their employees who do the actual work, including public safety like fire fighters.

My friend's girlfriend had her car vandalized. She had a decent job and insurance, but the state still gave her money as 'victim of a crime'.

When I went to Cal State, I had a job and excellent insurance, but I still was forced to pay for campus medical insurance. Then I found out I could not use that insurance I was paying for, because I made too much money. With one exception - I could get condoms.

California gives scholarships to illegal aliens who qualify, while raising their state resident fee rates for state universities almost every year.

And let's not even talk about the way they whittle away at 2nd Amendment right s more and more, every damned year!

On the other hand, at least they don't try and pass Creationism off as science, and they are not climate change deniers, like the Repubs.

This is what happens when one party stays in power in the Legislature too long. They get extremist!

In Washington DC it is the Repubs. In California, it is the Dems.

In his third term, Moonbeam had 147 vetoes. In his eight years as President, Obama had only 12. Just imagine how bad it's going to be if Newsome gets elected with a Democratic super majority in the California legislatures. Estimates for single-payer health coverage would triple the State budget.

@ Fubar, I'll take legislative gridlock over uncontrolled tax and spend socialism any day. My point was that the State Legislature is so bad, that Moonbeam was the "voice of reason" in Sacramento.
