You should really go to Dubai to see what can be done in a desert if you have a lot of money.

What the hell are you talking about Gillis ?
|
|
This is what she is talking about...
The Wynn golf course will be closed and replaced with Paradise Park.
"In fact, it will be filled with a hotel addition, convention space expansion and a 20-acre lagoon tentatively to be called Paradise Park. The property will include white sand beaches, zip lines, water skiing, boat rides and fireworks. The golf course Wynn had built earned money, $5 million a year on average by some estimates. But the new facilities are expected to earn 10, 20 or even 100 times that. Goodbye, golf course, indeed."

Yeah, it's the course behind the hotel
... Not Shadow, bit of a panic for a moment.... Shadow is a testament to what can be done in the desert.... And that was 20 years years ago!

I think It's a cool idea, the golf course was very overpriced and didn't bring in much revenue. Only in vegas will there be a lake on the strip.

Tiger Woods made some good money from golf before his wife went after him with a golf club.

Steve Wynn wanted to make it the hotel a little more classy. Now that he's out, they can tear down everything that isn't optimizing profit and get a pat on the head from share holders

For a dying white man's sport, it is amazing to see how many very high quality courses are located between Las Vegas and Mesquite, NV and extending into southern Utah. Some of these courses would be considered to be out in the middle of nowhere but they seem to bring in enough money to stay in business.
