Probably was required to change handle to avoid site issues.

Not necessarily, If the account says "previous handle" it was a site-required change. If you chose the handle "LikeToFuck", you would be given the opportunity to change it to something else.

Thanks guys. I sort of thought maybe they didn't want to bring up their past also. But I had to change my name due to sites new stipulations. I did have a previous account though and it's said that ever since I made this account not after the stipulations and the account holder just registered and was released last month.

There are a lot of people who have returned with new accounts and new handles and no mention of "previous accounts" marked in red.

The previous handle is because their profile before this one was a TOS. The site made them change it to something new.
If a person left the site and either deleted or were excomm’d, the former and current handles were never linked and therefore the previous handle comment doesn’t apply.

Their profile before this one meaning their old handle had a TOS in it and the site made them change it. If the profile had a TOS in it, the profile would’ve been simply been restricted and a name change would not be required.
Sheesh.

I am running into this too. I am untrustworthy, because my name was GreekSD, and they made me change it!

This site has long had issues with the Greeks. It all started with their austerity package.
