a) drive through patron's life not in danger
 if shots fired, drive up customer needs to stick around & provide info (per the law)
c) license plates will be recorded - so cops can find him.
d) any ccw holder I know doesn't want their permit revoked for leaving when discharge was made
e) I'm thinking if true, shooter was NOT permitted, and might not own the gun legally themselves.
