Been away from the big time for some time. Beat UO and OU to get there. I'd imagine they'll be underdogs to either UCLA or FSU.

I have great respect for their athleticism. The game is incredibly fast paced.
|

The sport has largely been dominated by three conferences. PAC-10/12, SEC and Big 12. Id figure most fans consider UCLA or Arizona as the premier team in NCAA history. But Oklahoma and Florida would likely argue.
There was an old bird that used to have fat lips. She claimed to play for Ok State in the 80s. Fubar, was that true?

I'm from Ronald Reagan era...and damn sometimes it trips me out. This country was sexist as fuck back in the day. They've only been playing a championship in softball since '82 π€·πΎββοΈπππ½π UCLA has 11 National Championships. UA has 8. OU has 4. UF back to back winners in 14 and 15.

Washington wouldn't be underdogs to Florida State. Washington has been the best team this WCWS. I predict they win the championship against UCLA. I don't see Florida State beating UCLA twice today.

hime there is not one person of any gender that could bat over the Mendoza line were they to play a season of NCAA Softball.
Note to self: movie idea...a nebbish of a man must pretend to be a women's softball player to earn a scholarship to a prestigious university. I'm thinking a Fubar type as the nebbish.

Ok after some quick study...FSU 54-12; 52-8
So I'd concede that UW would be favored were they to matchup in the final. Mainly due to conference dominance throughout the history of the game.
UW will certainly be underdogs to UCLA...and my guy alphabet has a pick to click on the Huskies. Be sure to call the 900 number for his NBA Steam release of June.

Florida state is the 6 seed which is why Washinton would not be underdogs as they are the 5 seed. And while UCLA is the 3 seed and I predict them beating Florida State at least once today, I still think Washington will take UCLA in the championship round regardless of seeding. I believe Washington has played the best so far in the WCWS, including beating the two time champ Oklahoma twice.

The SEC has been throwing big time money into women's sports the last decade. Florida for example has given 5 year scholarships to attract players to their program. My niece's teammates ended up playing at: Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgetown, Texas A&M, North Carolina, and many more. The talent is not staying at home any more.

When I watch women's softball, the word "thick" does not do them justice.
Especially the pitchers, look at their thighs!

The pitchers tend to be "thick" if we were to use your term. I agree for the most part. But the position players, especially OF are quick and don't possess the frame you described. I love how fast paced the game the is with the small diamond and mound less than 60'6" from home plate.

Many of the pitchers are thicker than a snicker but I doubt is because of PEDS.

Wow, Florida state dominated UCLA in game two. Did not see that coming. I still think Wahington will win the championship. For those not in the know, they have played the best all WCWS (hey now!)
