I hear from Lord Cheeto that he has already made 'Murikah great again. Of course, this is bluster, not fact.

250 National Guardsmen called up in Texas to man the border. Poor souls have to leave their jobs and families and work for $8.00 an hour on military pay. They can't even arrest anyone. They have to leave that to the existing border patrol. Wouldn't it be great if Generalissimo Cheeto simply asked the GOP Congress to fund the hiring of more border agents to deal with the phantom caravans of migrants intent on breaching the border?

Ah, fuck it. 2020 can't come soon enough. Can we just skip 2019?

I could not agree more. I was the head of a clothing company during the time we were being sold out to China. They stole my designs manufacturing them for pennies on the dollar and then sold them back to my accounts. The entire Los Angeles clothing mart went under. Hundreds of thousands of manufacturers of just about everything went under thanks to the Clinton's and Bush and then Obama.

I have a current beef with Trump over a current situation but regarding China I say; "Take 'em to the cleaners!!!

Grumpy: "Thank you Donald Trump. China will only retaliate. Economic unbalance will be the end result."

Economic unbalance is what we currently have. We have created great wealth for other countries at our own expense.

Trump is abrasive, but on many issues, he has it right

"he was forced to make his products in China to compete"

it's easy to blame others. How come people pay a premium for imported Italian ties?

Of course he did.

Without the Federal Tariffs and with oppressive EPA regulations many American businesses literally had to go there or die.

Why should a faucet plated in Mexico or China bypassing EPA regulations and Labor Laws be allowed to enter our country without a penalty?

I am all for the Environment but I feel if you enforce Environmental Regulations and Minimum working conditions etc... on American Companies then there should be a tariff applied to those products produced else where avoiding American Laws.

No market survives forever, micro or macro, with a constant negative imbalance.

The mini malls that replace old manufacturing sites do not provide the jobs that grow a local economy.

China will only turn to South American countries to buy their goods. Meanwhile Hundreds of thousands of Americans who work in the agriculture industry will have to rely on unemployment checks to feed their families.

Meanwhile the billionaires who run this country will still be able to function as normal without a worry.
I agree, America has to get a handle on it's own reliance. First you remove the "Greed" from the equation. Then you slow down the wheel of industry. Business and economy is like a wheel. If you slam on the brake it will only skid and lose control. You must slowly apply the brake so that you don't feel it come to a halt.

Didn't know we had so many trade experts and economists on HX. MAGA

Do any of you really think Tramp KNOWS what he's doing, or is he just firing from the lip.

Maybe some of you can help solve the Middle East crisis in your spare time...

Your arguments are moot. Trump and his advisors don't know what they are doing. They are into experimental economics and politics and diplomacy. You will know the results when the farmers vote next time.

I hope I still have a place to blog. If not, you should know who to vote next time. God bless Session and his department.

All of Trumps products, his daughters and his wife are currently being made somewhere in Asia. Non of his clothing or his wife’s have ever been made here!
I don’t know enough about retail & manufacturing to say rather he is forced to make is products there.
Their are plenty of clothing brands made here such as Todd Shelton, Gentic, Hanky Panky, Stetson, Free People, Brooks Brothers, and some of Urban Outfitters clothes. It seems like if these company’s were able to keep their products here someone with as much money and resources as Trump should be able to manufacture clothing here as well.

I understand why he made the choice to put terifis on products from China. I agree that something should be done concerning their practices and if it works it will be benifical to us. I really believe he has good attentions here.... lol and I’m not his biggest fan

I'm not surprised somebody is still convinced by Russian bots. You got no farm no stock no 401?

I sold half of my holding on one stock at its peak last month at $110. Now it's $95 and keep falling.

I bought BA when Jim Cramer was stark- raving mad for it in the high sixties. Still own it, great dividends.
