This sounds like a science project. Perhaps we all should participate in a science project this coming fall. There are many ideas of what to focus on. We can even attempt sociological studies and projects. Be prepared, often our hypothesis proves inaccurate and we are forced to reexamine our ideas going forward.

I know this... if my employees decide to use their workplace as a platform to voice their dissatisfaction with society and their political preferences.... they would be using their freedom of speech blogging on HX while they sat in front of their computer to file for unemployment.
Free speech protects you from the government trying to silence you. Not private industry. Ask Papa John. He said something the company thought didn’t represent them well and he was quickly shown the door.
As far as Nike and Levi and any other company that wants to take controversial positions.... have at it. More power to you. If you want your main business to take a back seat to your personal preferences... go for it.
Trade market share for it if you like.
For those who think it is “brilliant marketing” .... think again. People who don’t buy Levi’s now... aren’t rushing out to buy Levi’s because they are funding Anti-gun violence organizations.
Same with Nike. But there are people who buy them now that will quietly, just buy other products instead.
