Not only are there long lines at the DMV, but I bet there are equally as long a line at Fubars basement of people waiting to get in just to kiss his fat ugly ass.
If you land maggots didn't live in such populated city's you wouldn't have to wait as long to get into the DMV.
My wait time is always within the hour if that at the DMV. The rest of you Orange County pussies can continue bitch about the little things in life that you always cry about.

When I lived there full time I think I went once maybe and got a fucking appointment, IDK.
I do agree with whoever the fuck mentioned all the fucking illegals fucking up the system. Please become your own country - I will still pay my property taxes

Asleep at the wheel for 8 years.. the DMV has always had in-efficiency issue's , it was really amplified was under Gerry's watch, he did nothing about till 3 months from the end of his term. Now Gavin will campaign on how he will have the ability to solve this issue.
Gerry seems so hung up on environmental issue and running business out of the state (not to mention his train ) He only seems to sign things are that not relevant like the plastic straw ban and now he some "outer space" idea of launching a satellite to monitor global warming.

State and federal offices are too slow in general. That is because employees are lazy and they are careless about what they do. They need to get their act together by working quicker. DMV, social security and similar offices should also stay open longer hours to service tax payers and non-taxpayers.

Yes the DMV sucks....and idiots in this state want to have our Government handle health care....crap.....wait unit you get to wait 6 hours while you bleed in the waiting room.....or have a heart attack and they just can't process you quickly enough to help.....
Wake up, the government does things way more costly and inefficiently than anyone else.

I drive by a DMV office several times a week, their customer service is to put out tents to protect against the sun and a long line of chairs for people to rest their asses....
Ridiculous wait times.

Was just at DMV last week. 2 hours outside, I had to go myself,next appointment was 2 weeks away.
In line outside your time is not counted. Time for DMV does not start until you get a number.
Get inside 50 open chairs, half the windows working, employees are exactly like the sloths in zootopia.
BTW - new rules for drivers license / travel requirements (real ID) mean basically, every citizen of Cali, will have to visit the DMV in person to get the new drivers license in the next 2 years.

They send you your driver's license renewal form. If you wait even a week later to try to get an appointment, you won't be able to get one before your license expires. You can do the mail in renewal but that won't get you the REAL ID that will be needed to fly domestically (unless you want to carry around your passport for a flight even within the state).
So if you can't get a timely appointment, you are stuck going there and dealing with the 4 hour lines. Of course, even WITH an appointment, a simple task of showing 3 pieces of ID, getting a photo taken and completing a simple form will still take close to an hour.

To get the "new" license, you have to go to the DMV. AAA can't do driver's licenses.

For those that don't know the new real ID Driver's licenses will be required to board a plane travelling within the U.S. or to enter a federal building after October 1, 2020.
I think part of the long lines at the DMV related to the New Real ID drivers license has been caused by the way the DMV have went about issuing these new licenses.
When I received my renewal information earlier this year they gave me the choice of renewing my current drivers license through the mail or if i wanted the NEW Real ID driver's license I would have to appear at a DMV office and not only bring additional identification but would have to take the written driver's test and the eye examination.
Instead of just trying to expedite the process by just having the people bring the proper documents to the DMV to get the new license they elected to add more people to the already long lines of people required to take the eye exams and written driving tests. And they wonder why the lines are longer than ever.
