Anybody with 10 grams of brains knew NK would not give up all the nukes.
If they did, what would be their deterrence from all the big boys like USA, Russia and China?
Their leader may be a wierdo, but he is not suicidal.
Besides, NK leadership been starving their own population for decades, with the justification that they must have a hugely powerful military to fend off our invasion. The people must sacrifice to the military, so they (the people) can be protected. If NK gives up the nukes now, they go back on what they have preached for a few generations now.
