There are so many - if you like Italian then Bella Sera on Myrtle is one of my favorites. Cafe Lumar is a great intimate Croatian restaurant.

So you're sayin, Monrovia is San Gabriel Valley's Lompoc?

It is an odd place, for sure

"if you like Italian then Bella Sera on Myrtle "
Can't believe I drove by there an hour earlier.

Go to Downtown Monrovia ...
Above the 210 Freeway at Myrtle Avenue ...
It's like a throw back to much simpler times, and there's all kinds of local restaurants there...
There you'll also find a lot of local shop owners... You can still find a real " Record Store " , and a real " Shoe Store " with actual shoe experts on the floor to help you... Bunch of cool bars, bbq places, I think that there's an old school Army-Navy store still there... Just a very cool part of our history that hasn't been gentrified into the 21st Century...

If you want some seriously good Pizza...
Go to Domenico's on Huntington Drive... Just west of Myrtle Avenue a few streets...
|
|
Thanks Pete that’s literally my area.
|
|
I have to second that Dominico's recommendation. If you are one of the pizza faithful, it can change your life.
|
|
I'm going to third Domenico's.
I know this thread is over a month old, but I will also add Basin 141 on Honolulu Ave in Monrovia (in the old town area)
