You can blame anyone you want. There are so many.

If enough people don't give a s*** he just might
Especially now that he appointed Supreme Court Lackey that believes President should not be held accountable for any crimes that he commits while he's in office sky's the limit.

Whoever wrote that article sounds like an idiot and most likely a racist.

You have those on the left, those in the right..and so many in the middle. Dems are losing the middle.
|

Dems LOST the middle. And have no clue how to get it back.
They are too busy trying (unsucecessfully) to upend the Republicans.

LOCK HIM UP!

Probably the worst thing they could hear is that Trump is coming back to the party. He is of much more value to the Dems as a Republican.

DFilbert4 makes a valid point.
The foundations of our country were intentionally undemocratic because the smaller states did not really want 'one person - one vote'.
Regardless of the history behind them, the Electoral College and the US Senate are both fundamentally undemocratic, designed as a check on 'mob democracy', something the Founding Farts were very worried about. If we really believe in one person - one vote, we should do away with both of those institutions. Not saying it will ever happen, but it should.
And while we are at it, let's look at the issue of appointing federal judges FOR LIFE. Back in 1788, that usually meant a judge got appointed and sat on the federal bench for what, maybe ten or twenty years, at the very most. Now, with heart medications and blood pressure medications and dialysis and all that, these people can be appointed in middle-age and still make life-changing decisions for 40 years without ever having to stand for election. How democratic is that?

The Kavanaugh nomination should have been a slam dunk to defer and deter, but the Dems blew it by not pressing the FBI investigation.
If Trump does win, it will be because the Dems do not push back as hard as the Republicans do.

Bloomberg has spent millions on campaigns to pass laws outlawing guns or making them very difficult to obtain and afford (must buy insurance, must keep unloaded and locked up, must keep ammo somewhere separate, must keep all your guns registered with the government, etc.) even for law-abiding citizens. Plus, he seems to think all rifles should be required to manually reload, one bullet at a time. LOL. In other words, he does not want you to have any firearm that might actually be useful to defend self or family against one or more assailants.
Meanwhile, this rich hypocrite has bodyguards who carry - guess what - the semiautomatic weapons he abhors for everyone else.
He has NO chance in the toss-up states like Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia and most certainly not in the Midwest.
Biden is also pretty ignorant regarding firearms and Second Amendment rights, but not as hated as Bloomberg.

The Electoral College is archaic at best, but so are the ways the states have chosen to deal with it, specifically California. California’s winner take all rule handicaps us more than anything else. When all of your votes are guaranteed to go without any effort, why devote much time or resources to trying to win the state?
If you’ve ever been in a swing state leading up to a Presidential Election the difference is obvious. They will get tons of attention, to win those few Electoral votes. We get a visit to West LA or Beverly Hills for a few hours to hit the Democrat ATM, and the Republican candidate probably won’t even show up. If we changed to assigning Electoral votes on a proportional basis, we would get a lot more attention. The Democrats would be concerned with keeping as many as possible, and the Republicans would be working hard to get as many as possible. Short of a constitutional amendment to switch to the popular vote this is the most equitable way to do it.
And yes, I think all states should follow the same formula.
Bloomberg would be a colossal mistake as a candidate. He is the epitome of the Nanny state that the middle and right are worried about. From his views on gun control and his soda tax, he’s not going to be popular with lots of people.

The Dumbocrats only issue is “ We hateTrump”. That is not gonna get anybody elected except maybe in San Francisco or the northeast.
I could not bring myself to vote for him last time around, but having watched the insane Dumbocrats, Trump looks the the sanest and most reasonable contender.

One thing to know about the story is that it's by a hack writer for Huffpost, which is as reliable a source for news as HX is for chastity belts. And Yahoo will run any story if it's for free.
|
|
You just described 75% of all news outlets. What's your point? We read all sorts of news, pick out the pieces we deem credible and form an opinion. And in my opinion, he is going to win again. Cause dem Dems got no one who can beat him. And I do not feel this way because of this article. I just loved the headline.
|
|
He had two points; one is that the author of that article is a hack writer for Huffpost, which is as reliable a source for news as HX is for chastity belts. And the second is that Yahoo will run any story if it's for free.

True. Good point.

When you say California do you mean the people of California or the politicians of California?
|
|
The worst thing the Dems could hear would be Pocahontas running for president! Oh, yes, she is!
|

Do you ever want people in New York, Illinois and California controlling ANYTHING....in the fiscal ranking of states...
Illinois 50
California 42
New York 41
So lets just keep giving stuff away, wasting resources on bullet trains, providing benefits to millions of non-citizens and committing to pension benefits they will probably never be able to afford......yep, I am fine with the smaller states having a stronger voice.
|
|
If Bloomberg becomes the nominee... Trump wins 40 states.
Bloomberg is a “nanny” legislator.
Legislating what and how much people can eat or drink..... most of the US isn’t going for it.

The electoral college obviously gives every state an even and Democratic say in Presidential elections. It would be undemocratic for the states with a larger population to have an advantage. If the candidate is worthy, which Hillary wasn’t, they would win both. I have said many times that I don’t have respect for Trump but I think he was the lesser of two evils

from Merriam Webster:
" Definition of democracy:1a : government by the people
especially : rule of the majority "
|
|
Thomas Jefferson extolled government protection of civil liberties and wrote in 1786, that "our liberty depends on the freedom of the press". In 2018 Trump tweeted "The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly"
Thomas Jefferson was an American Founding Father who was the principal author of the Declaration of Independence and later served as the third President of the United States from 1801 to 1809. Previously, he had been elected the second Vice President of the United States, serving under John Adams from 1797 to 1801. Wikipedia

Actually the United States is a republic which has a little different definition than a democracy.
The reason you have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights is because the founding fathers intended to have a republic where the majority could not trample upon the rights of the minority. It is also a major reason you have a separation of powers between the President, Congress and the Supreme Court. The original Constitution would not have been agreed to by a number of states without a Bill of Rights that guaranteed freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc.
Without that Bill of Rights people like Madalyn Murray O'hair would never have been able to take prayer out of public schools, etc.

Generations of voting for the “lesser of two evils” has gotten us into the situation we are in: $21,000,000,000,000.00 in debt with no end in sight.
|

Meanwhile in California, taxes are high and regulations increase the cost of living because dumb asses keep voting for "free" shit that we all have to pay for.

Here's the problem. We are NOT a true or pure democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic. A republic governed by laws and a Constitution. And that's a good thing.
In a pure democracy, the majority can engage in "tyranny of the majority" and cast a majority vote to do just about anything -- they can take your money, your house, your car, your job, and even your life, all on a 50%+1 vote. This is unsound, unfair, and tyranny of the majority is what things like the electoral college and the US Senate guard against.
Think long and hard about living in a pure democracy. Because it would suck. The Founding Fathers were geniuses, and Vietnam era hippies teaching in liberal arts colleges should not be schooling American kids who lack sense and direction otherwise. The goddamn hippies are unworthy.

“Conservahicks” as if all conservatives are hillbillies. That is a perfect example of how a biased press can influence gullible people. All Democrats or any group of people are not exactly the same either. Don’t forget that we are all Americans and all individuals.

Engine man thinks we should change the Contitution because Hillary lost an election. It’s not all about you
