Yes hypocrisy indeed. But to be fair it runs both ways.
I'd have to agree on that.
Is that like swearing on the bible?
You better shave that shit!
Peter Fonda is still alive?
Lou and Dt are the best holy shit
Pm’s On point

Studios stop projects because of accusations of unwanted advances or touching. Roman Polanski pled guilty to a crime ran away and won an Oscar. Not sure there isany consistency.
Yeah I saw Peter Fonda trending on twitter and assumed he was dead but didn't care enough to actually read anything about him
I just saw what he said and I disagree that Sec. Nielsen should be caged naked & raped in public while being filmed. Nobody wants to see that. She's gross.

One, that just happened today. I hadn’t heard prior to this and was repulsed by it. Family members should never be political targets unless they’re politicians themselves like Ivanka or Jared. So not a of folks even know about it. The lack of MSM coverage is horrible. And two, because of the sensitive subject matter, it might be people did post about it but didn’t know how to do it properly so it would remain.

More and more it seems like everyone from the Prez to media to bloggers are in collusion to keep people outraged and clicking and reading or donating or whatever... I even see clickbait links that are like "This will make you outraged" or "you''ll never believe what he said..." Why do we click on those? (I don't anymore, just got tired of the drama and bored with being misled).
So people are actors, racists, morons, say crazy shit, regret it--nothing new.
Is everybody supposed to be pure and perfect and without sin, and even scarier--supposed to conform to the prevailing political wind or this week's cultural norm? If my handyman or plumber or attorney says something I disagree with, do I fire him/her? Report to the thought police?
FWIW I can't tell who is scarier (or is it funnier)--the nuts on the right or the nuts on the left.
They both seem to be trying to set up a world where you have to agree with their ideas or they can make your life hellish.

I worked with peter last year for a couple of days, really nice guy, couldn't see this side of him
though. surprised the hell out of me

In Fonda's defense, he did come out and apologize. But so did Barr. She got canned, his movie will be released and he will make money....
I think Roseanne will be fine. Maybe back in TV or run for office.
Colossus, you are incorrect on the timing of his tweet. It occurred 1:48 AM on June 20th. So it happened 36 hours ago...
Stuff against Trump happens immediately when MSNBC or CNN or whoever puts something up. Of course, CNN posted the apology and that the Secret Service was looking into a threat....but not the original post????
But not the public outcry we saw with Roseanne....double standard.....
just curious why you think there should be a single standard?
life is fair? Hollywood is fair?
good to point out this BS tho...
No, life is NOT fair....we come into this life naked and go out in a box and there is a whole lot of bullshit in between.
But we constantly hear the Hollywood types telling us how we should live our lives, that we should believe that their opinion is so important and they know so much more than us. However, they are some of the most hypocritical people in the world.
They are against building a wall at our border for security and safety, but how many of them live behind a wall.....with security cameras, security guards, security alarms systems....
They are so concerned about the environment and global warming, but travel by themselves in private jets and gas guzzling limos.
Who cares what a washed up actor spews? I guess he should be arrested for threatening the first family
engineman....you are the TOS idiot here.....
And you obviously did NOT actually READ the full text of both of his tweet...or you might not be dismissing this...but that's right, your agenda is set and you don't want anything to derail it...
Who cares about what happens to entertainers (unless they happen to also be elected officials)?
Al Franken resigned because he was embarrassed about groping some bitches.
Trump was elected despite bragging about it.
Engine man
It was a bit more than an insult. I don’t particularly like Trump but you are okay with what Sleazy Rider tweeted? I don’t get all excited about political BS. Just remember that we are ALL Americans and we are ALL individuals. It is not black and white as the Press and politicians would fool the people that can’t read between the lies
Hollywood helped make America great--along with probably Rock and Roll and Detroit cars in their day. Ask people around the world what they admire and love about America-- likely you'll hear Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, movies... even The Simpsons.
Hollywood shaped American culture (not always for the best in the past) by telling stories and helping people understand.
There is a myth that they been trying to push for years that America is great because of business or military strength, but that's just not true.
So yeah, Hollywood types have a big platform to speak.
Who cares what some elected politicians, rich folk, or business people have to say?
Still doesn’t make it okay. Actors are just actors. They have no more insight than your average Joe. It is ridiculous to worship them
Most of the people in Hollywood just happen to be 'beautiful people', but not any more intelligent that the rest of us. Athletes just happen to be bigger, faster, stronger, but not necessarily more intelligent that the rest of us.
But both groups seem to think people actually want to know what they think...we don't give a rat's ass Fonda or De Niro, what you feel or believe. So make your movies and keep your politics to yourself. Your opinion is no more valuable or important than any of the rest of the 330 million Americans.
movies are politics. and they do matter--we def give a rat's ass what the Hollywood and music ppl think.
Much more so that insane politicians trying to lie and cheat and barter anything that can.
Both are trying to peddle their fantasy and create and envision a reality.
But the politician tools use are dividing and scaring ppl.
What Fonda said maybe over a line, but the point was well taken--what would it be like if the leaders like Trump had to deal with the same kind of pain their policies cause?
Remember it's Hollywood--they tell stories to reach people, and it's not always nice.
OTH what Roseanne did was cold racist.

Happy Guy
Peter Fonda ? You gotta be kidding me. His opinion mean a lot more to you than it does to me.
I can’t understand why they say anything at all.You know they
Lose fans when they spout off
Like that
Fonda tweets... Trump reverses policy.
You do the math
LMAO Fox and the GOP are crying about the Democrats holding up the process , sounds like they ate a taste of their shit sandwich and they don't like the taste
The Dems don't want immigration reform...then they won't have anything to talk about.....
